There were balloons and "Happy Birthday" signs posted. We asked the young lady at the desk if the bar was going to open. She said I'm trying to find out. I felt sorry for her. She had no idea what was going on. I don't know if there's new management, or if it's just total disorganization, but won't be staying here for awhile. By the way, as I was making this reservation I was hacked. Then it kept showing me insecure connection. We have stayed at many Home2 Suites over the years while traveling…read more While this looks like an older Home2 Suites on the exterior, it was very colorful, clean and kept up to date on the interior. The front desk associate was friendly and helpful upon check in. We really like the room set up in these hotels. They all have a couch, large TV and kitchenette which is perfect for our travels. The kitchenette has glassware, full place settings, stovetop, coffee machine, full refrigerator and dishwasher. As with all Home2 Suites, they no longer provide cookware in the rooms due to theft. If you need to cook something, you can check out cookware at the front desk which is nice. I appreciate having coffee in the morning but it always bothers me that all hotels provide more decaf coffee than regular coffee so you need to run downstairs and ask for coffee. At least they provide the liquid cream instead of the powder. The main lobby has plenty of seating for workspace or their complimentary breakfast in the morning. Coffee and tea are always available as well as TV's should you choose to hang out in the lobby. They do have beverages for purchase in the minimart but no alcohol at this location. There is an indoor pool which is great for families as well as a large workout room. I love the fire pits available at Home2 Suites, however, this particular location is right off the freeway so you cannot enjoy the fire pit without noise from traffic. We were lucky to have a room on the backside of the hotel so traffic noise wasn't a huge issue until early morning when the business next door started running trucks. Our stay was short, only overnight, but it was a great price and nice place to stay.

He was kind enough to offer rubber gloves, and a cleaning cloth. But not clean it. Later on when using the bathroom, the stainless steel hook fell off the wall and hit my knuckle, we took it down to Keith. Didn't offer me any ice. I got my own ice pack made up, knuckle was swollen and hurt for days. Did not offer any discount on the room. When we call Keith gives you the runaround that it wasn't booked through them so there's nothing they can do about it. He also said that what happened to me was the perfect storm. And then if you walk into Walmart & a box of crackers fall on you or are you gonna do anything or get a discount for it. I said Keith a stainless steel hook, weighs a lot more than a box of crackers. He said he needs medical proof I was hurt. We will not ever stay here again. We will be going to Lucille's across the highway.

We find most Fairfield's are pretty much the same. Such is the case with this Fairfield except perhaps the breakfast. That doesn't really matter so much to me. We don't like the traditional hot breakfast and are fine with some fruit and yogurt. During Covid, most if not all hotels eliminated the fresh hot breakfasts and offered prepared foods wrapped in plastic wrap. Most have now moved away from that. This Fairfield is still there. That doesn't matter to me. I don't like the spinach soufflé or the sausage sandwiches, but I am fine with oatmeal, fruit, and yogurt. I would actually prefer less money spent on breakfast and lower rates. I prefer cheap and simple healthy breakfast and lower rates.

People have to remember that this is a budget hotel, not the Taj Mahal. You are not going to get pampered with scented oils while you are sponge dried after your morning shower. Our room for the night was clean, had fresh linens, and didn't have any problems with the carpeting. The fridge in the room was actually very good. Really, the only complaint I would have about the room is that the shower head was installed for very short people. Basically, it was at about shoulder level for me, and I stand at just shy of six feet tall. The owners weren't a problem, and we stayed the night there without any issues. Sure, there is no breakfast in the morning, but again this was a budget motel so we weren't expecting it, and knew going in that there wasn't one. That was actually just fine with us, since we had plans on going to a local diner for breakfast that we had seen while passing through town. Both the local diner closer to the center of town and a larger place on the East end of town were recommended to us by the very nice young man operating the front desk when we checked in. This place appears to have taken a U-turn in terms of quality, as it was exactly what we expected for the price that we paid.

Originally built in 1927. Liked Lucille's hotel a lot. Friendly staff , nice clean rooms. Reasonably priced. Lucille's Roadhouse next door is a good restaurant with a large menu.
