Getting to the hotel during i40 road construction was pretty easy as the hotel texted us how to navigate. The hotel itself is surrounded by fields and open space. The sunrise across the plains was pretty spectacular. The manager/owner assisted at the front desk, made a killer Bloody Mary at the bar (may have been the best one we've had) and knew his hockey too. The other bartender also was pretty nice. Both have worked at this hotel for a while too which is a sign of a good property. The rooms are really large, no issues with parking and everything was nice and clean. We will be back in the fall.

This meant, not having hotels rooms booked and using points. So, we had to book rooms and pay for them . But, the Best Westerns we stayed at have been great. That's Yuma, Albuquerque and Weatherford OK. Rooms were very nice and all the breakfasts were excellent. But the breakfast and the BWplus in Weatherford,l was one of the best hotels we'd stayed at. The hotel has been recently up graded and room was very clean. But, the breakfast was a step above every other. I'd walked in thinking was like other BWs. Decided to start with oatmeal and next to the pot, we're containers of raisins, brown sugar, granola, and nuts. Then they had a chaffing dish of scrambled eggs, sausages and potatos. But, then the wife came to me and whispered "they have an omelet station." What? No way! Indeed they'd did. At first, didn' look like much. Just an omelet pan and a container of cheese. I didn't see anything else to add to it. Then, the lovely Dina came out of the kitchen and asked if I wanted an omelet and what would like in it? "What do you have?" She answered, in a lovely British accent, "You name it!" She then listed about 20 items she had in the refrigerator. Including ham, bacon, sausage. Onions, mushrooms, green peppers, and more, the usual ingredients you'd find at a fancy casino buffet. And. It was delicious! But, there's more! They had the usual make your own waffles machine. But in addition to the usual syrups, they more containers of jams, nuts, raisins. They also had a kids delight containers of chocolate chips, marshmallows, strawberry jam and Nutella container. Then, to top everything off. They have a super coffee machine with every hot drink imaginable. This includes coffee and decaf, but also hot chocolate. Cappuccino, lattes and expresso. With options of making them all chocolate or vanilla flavors!. Great machine. So, Weatherford Best Western Plus, we're all ready planning to stay on the trip back!

When we arrived to check in at 5pm, we waited at the front desk for over 10 minutes and not one staff was there. I even went and knocked on their office door and not a soul. When someone did arrive they were looking up our reservation. Then another more senior staff member came to the front and took over. She asked if we had just made a reservation and we had made it on the road several hours before. We asked whether we could get a ground floor room and she said no, nothing available. We asked whether there was an elevator and she said yes, but not for you, because we put you "out back". She seemed flustered and told is they were almost full. My husband went to get ice and it was empty. The room ac was working but not well, the room was so warm, especially in the bathroom. We had a long, warm uncomfortable night. The toilet was extremely low and slow. The in-room coffee maker didnt work and still had water in it (who knows how old) from a previous guest. One of my husband's pillow cases had a black stain on it. We didn't report any of these issues to the front desk, as we felt sure nothing would have been done to correct them. Overall, not very well managed, and NOT a pleasant experience.

The front desk associate was friendly and helpful upon check in. We really like the room set up in these hotels. They all have a couch, large TV and kitchenette which is perfect for our travels. The kitchenette has glassware, full place settings, stovetop, coffee machine, full refrigerator and dishwasher. As with all Home2 Suites, they no longer provide cookware in the rooms due to theft. If you need to cook something, you can check out cookware at the front desk which is nice. I appreciate having coffee in the morning but it always bothers me that all hotels provide more decaf coffee than regular coffee so you need to run downstairs and ask for coffee. At least they provide the liquid cream instead of the powder. The main lobby has plenty of seating for workspace or their complimentary breakfast in the morning. Coffee and tea are always available as well as TV's should you choose to hang out in the lobby. They do have beverages for purchase in the minimart but no alcohol at this location. There is an indoor pool which is great for families as well as a large workout room. I love the fire pits available at Home2 Suites, however, this particular location is right off the freeway so you cannot enjoy the fire pit without noise from traffic. We were lucky to have a room on the backside of the hotel so traffic noise wasn't a huge issue until early morning when the business next door started running trucks. Our stay was short, only overnight, but it was a great price and nice place to stay.

My son and I were traveling cross country (Akron, OH to Long Beach, CA) and didn't want to bust our budget at a place to simply sleep. We wanted clean, comfortable and safe. I was stunned by all the crappy one dollar sign ($) places that didn't warrant a one star review. The photos of those places were as scary as the stories. Econo Lodge in Clinton was everything that we could have expected, clean, comfortable and safe. An added surprise was the congenial attitude of the staff and their breakfast. If you want some scrumptious Sunday morning brunch then look beyond Econo Lodge, but if you are okay with the basics and are looking for simple, affordable and decent then stop here. To put this all into perspective, I am a seasoned traveler and know the difference between an upscale hotel or resort and an Econo Lodge. I wasn't expecting or looking for a Marriott Marquis, I could have stayed anywhere but for 8 hours of sleep, a nice shower and a quick breakfast before hitting the road this was perfect.

Post-it note with room number and important info. Room had only 1 towel, no coffee cups or creamers, etc. TV remote wouldn't turn off TV or control sound. Light next to bed didn't work. Outlets next to sink would only hold in coffee pot three prong. It would not hold in hair dryer plug. Shower curtain had a hole in it so the toliet and floor got wet. Toilet very small and low to floor and very loud. House keeping tried to walk in at 945am without knocking, then again at 1030am with barely a knock. Check out was at 11am. No door Hanger to notify housekeeping to do not disturb. Evening lady was helpful and found more towels and tried to switch the room but this room was cleaner than second option. Breakfast, I arrived at 745am. Breakfast is from 630-9am. Morning guy was on his phone, breakfast foods were empty, such a milk, yogurt, no fruit. Coffee ern (1 only) half full. Waffles, bagels, bread available. Also cereal. An older gentleman was getting cereal and there wasn't much milk left. I asked morning guy. He ran over filled the milk and yogurt and then went back to his cell phone. He left the large back room frig open. I brought my food to my room and came back for a little coffee and closed the frig that was still open.  Check out was fine, handed in the keys and said thank you. I usually notify them of the issues at check out but there were too many.  Did I mention that the bed was comfortable?

I started checking the room to see if it was clean or had bugs. I took the bedding off and there was this gray stuff all over the sheet so I took everything off of it and got the 2 blankets out if our car so we could use them and not what they gave us. Then I went to the bathroom there were STAINS all over the shower curtain and the mirror was CRACKED. My boyfriend tried to turn a lamp on the wall on and if just fell over when we pressed the button...there was also a big CUM STAIN on the floor by the bed.. The first room she put me in was on the back side of the building, for which I didn't stay long. The second room she moved me too was on the front side of the building, and a little better. The rooms are large, and feature a living area with a table and chairs. The bed was marginally comfortable, but more importantly, clean. The room overall was clean, but did have an old and outdated feel to it (which sometimes feels unclean). The breakfast was FREE from the adjoining restaurant -- I can't complain, because it was free and decent, but I really prefer the buffet style breakfasts with options rather than this is the specific meal we prepare for guests. This hotel was not terrible, but it was not wonderful either. If you were looking to save some money or were on a tight budget, it works but I personally would probably spend the extra $25 and stay somewhere a little nicer.
