Years ago my wife and I had our house listed on com-free. Solomon Davies called us and asked if we…read morewere open to agents showing the home. We said yes, no problem. He said he had some buyers interested and we set up an appointment. When the appointment came, it was just Solomon. He said he wanted to see the property first and make sure it was a fit for his clients. If it was, he would bring the buyers next time. He told us if he wanted the house sold tho, we had to sign a sales agreement with him. We said no. He got pushy and we again said no. He left frustrated. A few days later, he calls again. Says ok this time I'll bring my clients. Again, he just shows up with the same story but this time he's even more pushy. The guy sat in our kitchen for 10 minutes using his high pressure sales tactics and b.s. stories about his buyers that don't exist. Eventually, I got up and asked him to leave. He's extremely unprofessional and rude. We were young, inexperienced and naive. He tried to use his pushy tactics and take advantage of us. Luckily it didn't work but it still angers me to this day. He gives all the good agents our there a bad name. He's an awful realtor. Seems like him trying to poach listings off of comfree/purple bricks is a common theme here. I'm actually surprised he hasn't been investigated by RECA yet. Tells you how good of a realtor he is when he's been around this long and still doesn't have enough repeat business to stop soliciting people who are listed with private listing agencies. Avoid Solomon Davies at all costs.

I purchased a town house condo from a couple who had Mr. Davies as their real estate agent almost a…read moredecade ago. His behaviour was inexcusable and I never want to do business with him again. As a first time home buyer at that time, I was unaware of certain questions to ask and things to say so my mother offered her assistance and accompanied me to iron out the details of the purchase. When things were about ready to be finalised, he handed me the necessary papers to sign and he was eager to wrap up. My mother had some more questions and suggested that I don't sign yet without some more pertinent information. This irked him and he looked at me and said "You're more educated than her. Just sign it." I felt this was a very sexist comment assuming my mother didn't know what she was talking about. I almost left right there. Against my better judgement and after a few heated words, we concluded the deal. The reason I'm writing this now is that I have the property listed ready for sale and Mr. Davies called me to see if he could poach my listing off of comfree. Needless to say, I would never do business with him again. After almost a decade, his unprofessional behaviour is still very etched in my memory. Avoid at all costs.
