Scott Lorenz Tree Service was the company I chose to grind 7 stumps in our backyard and 2 stumps in the neighbor's yard. I would definitely advise combining any stump removal with your neighbor if possible as it will reduce cost. Grinding Stumps leaves a mess, but his team will clean up the grindings or take them away. Cleanup was a service the other quoted contractor did not provide. His quote, responsiveness to my texts, and the final product of his team were outstanding! We hired Scott and his crew to trim a few trees and take one very tall tree down off a hill close to our house. The guy had to climb this skinny but super tall tree to make sure they took it down without damaging our porch. We live in Edina and many neighbors have used Scott's crew. We hired Scott to give all of the trees in our lot a very big trim. We live in Richfield, MN, so the trees in our neighborhood are massive. Scott was by far the most responsive and the most cost-effective option. He came with a huge crew and they got everything and more (two additional neighbors) done in one day. Scott and his large crew also remove all of the tree pieces/debris when they were done - even leaf blowing the deck and driveway. Scott came to my house after my neighbors giant tree came crashing down on my backyard fence. My neighbor hired him in a hurry, due to the fact that there was a wedding scheduled at my home in a couple of days. Him and his crew not only disposed of the tree, but they cut up some of the huge pieces into fire wood size logs for me to split. We have A LOT of fires during the winter, so this made me very happy. I then asked him if he would be able to take out this HUGE old tree stump in my front yard. Not only did he do it. He did it for a very very competitive price, and did it amazingly well and almost immediately! Scott noticed some outdoor string lights that I had running from tree to tree down my long driveway, and at the front they cross the driveway, and tall work trucks like my garbage man always hit them and it breaks the lightbulbs. He offered to use his cherry picker to higher the light string for me so this wouldn't happen anymore. FREE OF CHARGE!!! He took about 30 minutes out of his day to do this for me, and to do it right. I should also mention that him and his team, did all of this for the most part, during a downpour of rain! Couldn't be happier or more pleased with Scott and his team's work and professionalism and their willingness to truly go above and beyond without even being asked. 5 stars for them!!! read more

These guys were amazing! We had two trees that needed to be removed because we were not getting any sun due to the size and neighboring trees and that our landscaping/grass and garden were suffering. We had a very tight backyard and they had to get special equipment to remove the trees. I'm not going to lie, I was a wreck thinking/worrying about what could happen.
