Scott was the best possible agent for our first home-buying experience. He has since also become a friend. My husband and I were very deliberate about what we wanted from an agent - an expert in our target neighborhoods who was also communicative, honest, trustworthy, and patient. After interviewing prior clients for several agents, we went with Scott due to his glowing live reviews. We haven't regretted our decision for a moment - and I am proud to add our voice to Scott's growing choir of fans. Scott is incredibly knowledgeable about the San Fernando Valley real estate market - hard earned expertise from being boots on the ground for years. He was able to share very helpful and honest feedback about local schools, traffic and noise patterns, and even the typical layout and finishing of certain neighborhoods. He helped us focus our attention based on what we really wanted - and never judged us when we weren't as excited about a home after visiting. Scott helped us navigate the housing market during a brutal sellers' market in early 2021. We put in close to 10 offers together and with each and every one, he patiently helped us put forward our best strategy. His knowledge of creative terms and target offer and counteroffer strategies is second to none. For the house we eventually won and purchased, Scott's deep Valley relationships paid off - he knew the sellers' agent, whose trust in Scott and our attractive package helped us win over higher offers! We had a brutal escrow process with very difficult sellers - Scott and the sellers' agent partnered to resolve every issue and kept us on track with timelines. Scott even helped us secure a hefty sellers' credit for needed repairs. During the entire 5 month process from first meeting to post-close handoff, Scott was incredibly responsive and proactive - and honestly, just a real joy to even be around! He consoled us and kept us upbeat even when it seemed the process would never end! Lastly, Scott's recommendations for quality vendors have paid off big time - we are remodeling the house to great success with his contractor, have used his folks for our insurance needs, and even loved the vendors he brought for our inspections. Can't say enough positive things about Scott. Would work with him again in a heartbeat and sincerely hope others have the pleasure of working with him for such important life transactions as well. Thank you for everything Scott - you really do work for your clients at every step. read more

Update: It's been two years since purchasing my home and I still go to him. He is always just a text/phone call away and happy to help. He answers my calls happily and with the same level of care as when I was a prospective client. He didn't just sell me a house; he's been a mentor and a resource long after the move-in day. If you want an agent who actually stays in your corner for the long haul, this is your guy! read more

After some unplanned life events, we decided we were ready for a change of scenery. Who should we call to sell our house? If you live in Porter Ranch you cannot miss how hardworking Scott Himelstein is, you see him constantly, from open houses to garage sales. We hired Scott and were glad we did. The Porter Ranch home market was stable during the period we were deciding to sell our house but shortly after we listed, the market became more crowded and complicated. This is where hiring Scott made the difference. Because he has worked so hard for decades he has seen and experienced so much that he knows what to do under any circumstance, which minimized our stress at every turn. You are not just a number to him, he's humble, personable, communicative and made the process painless. Thank you Scott. Kevin B. read more

We met Scott in 2020 when we were in the market to buy a house in the valley. I stayed in touch with him and when it came to selling our home a few months ago, I knew he was the only one that I would trust. I still did my due diligence and interviewed a few realtors, but the choice was clear. We selected Scott to list our home and we received a very competitive offer within hours of listing the property. Scott did an incredible job marketing/staging our home. He is very responsive and kept us in the loop about all the developments. We closed escrow in 3 weeks and sold the house at a significantly higher price than other homes listed in the area. Scott is the only realtor that I will buy and sell with! read more

Scott is a fantastic resource in our community (Porter Ranch/Granada Hills). He is probably the most professional yet friendly person I have ever met. He walks the neighborhood once a month knocking on every door, meeting the owners, and sharing information about the real estate market (if you are interested). He sponsors mass garage sales in the area and advertises the locations. He gives away free ice cream from a rented ice cream truck in the summer. He sponsors seminars relating to every aspect of real estate. If you want to sell, he will pay to stage your house as part of his service. He has major lenders if you are a buyer. He has special programs to help you with the anxiety of buying your new home when you haven't yet sold the old one. We recommended him to our niece who was having a hard time finding a house using an out of the area agent. Scott found her a fantastic house in no time at all and they have been there now for over 10 years. You will not find a better, more honest, more professional realtor anywhere. read more

Trustworthy, that's the first word that comes to mind when ever I think of Scott. So many more follow: friendly, patient, hard working (opps! That's two words) Anyways, you get the point. I first had the pleasure of working with Scott in 2015 when we needed to sell my Mom's home to help pay for her longterm care. Scott took care of everything, even when I was out of the country. He sold the house for top dollar and crazy fast. I will have Scott as our Realtor for as long as possible. read more

We looked for several months in the Valley and we're not thrilled with what we saw, but once we began working with Scott he was able to take us to homes we really connected with. I would definitely say he gave us a personal experience in the search and is even a fierce negotiator, which I was relieved to have. Honesty, I don't have bad things to say. I'm very happy with the service and my new home! read more

I'm so disappointed in Scott! If you are buying from him, he works for you! If you are selling he works for the buyer. I was disappointed to see other homes on our street sell for more than mine, In the same time period. Scott is oblivious to the upgrades we made (pebble tech pool, Viking appliances) and has absolutely no idea how to market a home. Scott works only with buyers to try and get a deal, no matter the work and effort you put in your home before selling. Once I saw the comps in my neighborhood after we sold with Scott I was sick! He took advantage of my divorce and was flat out lazy. I believe he used my divorce in order to have buyers make a low offer which is illegal. This is not a good person. He's not trustworthy. Enjoy his turkeys and popsicles marketing ploys but DO NOT hire him for selling your home! read more

Scott is an ice cream man, door to door community builder, stationery man, and btw he is a real estate agent!! A superb one that is! One that does all the above in his pursuit of helping the community buy and sell their houses!! He is an honest, caring, and cool person who you can rely upon for all your needs. Sometimes he might even bring a drone to spoof up how your house looks. Highly recommended and entrusted!! read more

Professional from the start and it only got better. He has a very outgoing personality that really made the long process of selling our home much easier. He came and looked at our property, was prepared with the local prices around us and made the best decision for the date to sell our house. He even has a very nice lady who advised us how to stage our house for the best results! She works with Scott so she advised us for free and her ideas were excellent and help us get the best price. We had issues getting an appraiser, everyone is so busy but he kept working and that worked out well. If you are looking for a complete team to take care of your real estate needs I would only recommend Scott! read more

When we decided to sale our house in Porter Ranch, we knew it will be through Scott Himelstein. He has been persistent in his pursuit with information about existing home sales in our area. We found him reliable, honest and relentless in his pursuit to markete our house with repeated Open House and other marketing tools. He is well informed about Porter Ranch markete, kept us well informed about the sales activity in our neighborhood. We will recommend Scott to any homeowner, who is looking for a realtor, without any reservation. Thanks a lot! B.D. read more

Scott did a fantastic job of guiding my wife and I throughout the whole process. Having little knowledge of the steps entailed in purchasing a home, he provided excellent guidance and was prompt in addressing all of our questions and concerns. His professionalism and knowledge are unparalleled. I highly recommend anyone to conduct business with Scott. read more

I can't say enough great things about our real estate agent, Scott Himelstein.  He was amazing!  He knows all the ins and outs of the process and was able to get us a great price for our home which we recently sold.  He also helped us so much with all of the smaller but important pieces of selling our home--preparing our house so that it looked appropriate, getting an excellent photographer to take the pictures and video, the inspection and handling any glitches that came up, etc.  We also had a solar panel lease that we needed to transfer to the new owners and he was extremely instrumental in assisting us in getting that done as well.  Any questions we had he was able to answer without any difficulties and he guided us in exactly the way we needed to go.  You will not be disappointed if you choose Scott as your real estate agent for buying or selling a home! read more

Scott was amazing from start to finish. From the first day we reached out to him to the day we got our keys, Scott made our home buying process simple and fun! His professionalism, work ethic, guidance, communication and overall support throughout the process was absolutely incredible and greatly appreciated. Scott found us our dream home and turned our dream into a reality. Thank you Scott! read more

From the beginning to the end, Scott was there! I never dreamed my condo could look so good, but Scott and his team made it happen with a video & photos for the listing. The end result was AMAZING, I was so proud that I dared shared them on FB (not required). My condo sold the 1st weekend it was listed and we had over 4 multiple offers and I got over asking price. Now, there were a few hiccups along the way, one to mention FHA during Covid. What a nightmare, so many issues, Scott was on top of each one, and unfortunately this specific FHA loan was not the right fit. Thankfully, Scott had other connections and found me another buyer with-in a week. Seriously, this guy! We closed escrow with in a month and I still got over asking price. Wow....thank you Scott, I couldn't be happier!! read more

Experienced, responsive and accommodating. I received stellar customer service throughout the selling of my house. Scott proved very knowledgeable in all facets of the real estate industry, which made the selling of my home and buying of another home a worthwhile experience. Scott has a great reputation, evidenced by the repeated positive feedback I received from various agents at various showings. I made a great choice. I highly recommend his services. read more

My wife and I met Scott at an open house at a property he was selling. We immediately felt very comfortable with him and knew he had the knowledge and experience to help us find our home. During our long search, Scott's associate Harut helped us view many houses. He was very patient with us and we never felt rushed. He was always very quick returning our calls and helped point us to the best neighborhoods for what we were looking for. Once we found the perfect place for us, Scott jumped in and was immediately on top of the negotiations, dealing with the listing agent, escrow and my lender. He did an amazing job and we are so excited to be moving into our 1st home. Thanks for everything Scott and Harut. read more

Our experience with Scott Himmelstein was top notch from beginning to end. He was there for us whenever we needed even the smallest question answered. My wife and I were interested in the Porter Ranch area and Scott was recommended to us as the go-to expert. His knowledge of the area is unparalleled, and his work ethic and personality are unmatched. Not only did he help us identify a property in Porter Ranch, he also helped us sell our current home at the same time and navigate a complicated web of contingencies and conditions that protected us both as buyers and sellers. Scott has deep knowledge of real estate transactions and years of experience. Him and his team were there for us through challenging situations and always available for a quick call or an email response. After our experience we would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell in Porter Ranch or the surrounding valley. read more

Scott was great to work with. He helped sell my condo and then helped buy a house. It was a stressful process and Scott was there every step of the way and always quick to respond. I would highly recommend Scott to anyone interested in buying or selling a house. We just sold our house during the pandemic at $40K over to asking price. Everything ran so smoothly. This is the third time we have asked Scott to assist us in buying or selling a house. We keep going back for several reasons. First, Scott is a very hard worker and puts in the time. He takes the time to walk through neighborhoods and meet the families. He is very reliable, experienced and knows what he is doing. He keeps you informed of every step so you always know what is happening and he is always readily available if you have questions. On top of all that, Scott is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. read more

I know this is going to be a long winded review, if you don't read all of it then just know that Scott is an expert in his field. Scott has in depth knowledge of the real estate market of our community. His expertise is something that he has worked to cultivate and maintain thru his one on one interaction with the homeowners. My husband and I have been trying to buy a home for six years but, because we are self employed we were never able to get approved for a loan. In these past six years we have been living in a rental home and every two to three weeks we would receive Scott's note pads at our front door. Always with a hand written note "Sorry I missed you! -Scott." So, when we finally found a lender that pre-qualified us for a loan this year and had to decide who to go with as a realtor my husband immediately thought of Scott. After seeing his note pads all these years my husband said he must know this area very well. So we called him. Scott came over for a meeting with my husband and by the following week he had scheduled two days to take us to see homes. Let me just preface this by saying my husband and I (mostly my husband) are very particular. I lost count of how many houses Scott took us to see. For every meeting he was very prepared and had a route planned out as to how we were going to see all the houses that he had scheduled for us. Unfortunately, we didn't like any of the houses that were available at the time. That was when Scott told us about a house which he knew was going to be coming on the market. This ended up being the house that we now call home. The road to our new home was a rough one and I honestly believe that if it wasn't for Scott and his team it never would have happened. Four weeks into escrow our loan fell thru and we couldn't even get our loan agent on the phone, probably because he/she didn't want to be the bearer of bad news. Not knowing what to do and not wanting to lose this house, we called Scott and asked whether he knew any loan agents who would be able to help us. He gave us a referral and was kind enough to smooth things over with the seller while we went thru the process of getting approved for a loan once again. The loan agent Scott referred us to was able to get us a loan, that process was also not a smooth one which caused us to have to extend our escrow closing date. Once again, Scott went to the seller for us and smoothed things over. To be honest, all these years I thought that Scott probably used a service to deliver his note pads door to door. After working with him I realized that he himself goes door to door every week around the neighborhood and delivers these notepads. I've seen it myself. His knowledge and expertise of our neighborhood and his relationship with the residents of the area, are things that he has careful and diligently cultivated thru the years. My husband and I, wholeheartedly, recommend Scott to anyone who is looking to sell or buy a home. read more

Scott Himelstein sets the bar in the real estate industry and in my opinion is the #1 realtor in the Porter Ranch/Northridge/Granada Hills area. I had the pleasure of experiencing the true meaning of a great agent and team with my first home purchase. He had my best interest in mind first and foremost. I was 100% supported and guided through the process, which was a relief being as it was my first time purchasing. His attention to detail was impeccable. He also helped me long after the deal closed with finding painters and other contractors with my remodel. I would 100% recommend him to family, friends, and everyone interested in buying or selling. To Scott and team...a million thank yous isn't enough to show our gratitude for finding us our home. Not only is it in the area we wanted to live in, it checks off all our wants in a home. Also, getting us into our home before our first baby was born was one of our biggest concerns...and you made it happen! Thank you and can't wait to use you in the future for our real estate needs. read more

As an established Realtor, he is as professional as it gets. He returns calls promptly, he is always on time, he is able to text and email as well in order to move things along quickly. He represented my family in a trust sale and did the initial meeting, walkthrough, and open house within a few days. He made himself available to both the sellers and the buyers any time of the day and kept the line of communication open between us in order to make each side comfortable with the negotiations. Scott is a wealth of knowledge and we used his recommendations for many local resources. He was very nice and even after the sale, he has continued contact with us which is definitely above and beyond his job description! Highly recommend him to my family and friends. read more

Scott came highly recommended by one of our neighbors, now I can tell you the same would come from me!! When my husband found out he was being transferred to Atlanta we knew our house needed to be sold quickly! Not only was it sold quickly but Scott was extremely professional, pro-active and patient. He was available for me (and my crazy questions and worries) any time of the day and night. I swear the man doesn't sleep. Our closing came when we were already in Atlanta and of course I worried that it would be a mess. Not even close! Scott and his team kept us updated and made the closing simple and easy. The sale and escrow went quickly, and even at the end with a potential glitch, they solved the problem, and we closed on time.
