I had wood for an 8 foot rack delivered and they cross stacked both ends inside the rack - that's around 3+ feet out of 8 - almost half. Wood is essentially sold by volume (cords, face cords, etc.) and is supposed to only be sold/measured with the wood logs all laid out parallel to each other. The quality of the wood that I actually received was fine. It burned well, but you can't burn air.

I was hoping to remove limb above neighbors side of fence to clear some space over their yard, as well as trim the tree away from the house. Once he got there Travis was kind enough to explain that cutting the limb away would likely hollow that bit out and that I'd probably get the desired result by simply trimming away the branches growing downwards along there. He also mentioned that he could do that and if I wanted more done could always do that after I saw it and decide from there. Very pleased with the results, both of clearing a nice patch away from neighbors side and of trimming back away from the house. Will be using him again!

But we couldn't afford to do all of it at the same time (Like $15,000 was the total, but our budget was $5,000). Patio looks nice - but we counted a little over a dozen bricks that have rust stains from where ever they were stored. For professionally installed, we weren't thrilled with this - but live with it. They also built a small sitting/retaining wall for us. It was the end of October 2016 - and when they cam out to finish forgot to install one brick.... (so the sides were uneven.) we were fine with waiting until Spring 2017 for them to come back. We discussed that we were not going to pay our remaining balance until the job was completed. Fair, right? We paid over 75% of total bill already..... Now that Spring is here, we would like to build up our retaining wall a little more. But everyone at Shades of Green is suddenly CRABBY at us.... and I'm not sure why. We have been nothing but nice and friendly, even though they forgot a brick last year. And now they would like to do add a bit more - it's like we are bothering them. Not like we are having them do anything for free - we are still paying them, so whats the problem. Honestly, I would NOT recommend SHADE OF GREEN. For the amount of money we did end up spending, we are disappointed in the stained bricks in our patio. You expect better from professionals. We also didn't appreciated the lack of communication between their sales staff and their installers. Not sure why they were so "GRUMPY" with us either..... We waited 6 months for the job to be finished. Signed purchase agreement in AUGUST 2016 - now it is APRIL 2017 and we are waiting for them to come back and finish.

When I asked questions and checked in on them they weren't the slightest bit offended and were happy to talk with me. They also put down runners so they didn't mess up my carpets and they even cleaned up their entire mess in the installation area. He was by far the best price (beat some by $1,300), but I had a fear of "you get what you pay for". Totally NOT the case with Derek. He was on time, clean and really cool. We are very happy with the results.
