My experience with Dr. Escobar to get a crown on a broken tooth, in my opinion, was the worst dental experience I have ever had. I was new to the area, and finding and going to a new dentist is already stressful enough; No one should ever have to put up with all the yelling and snarky remarks from a dentist. I am 65, have 4 crowns, multiple root canals and fillings; I have had many dentists. This brutal marathon visit took almost three hours. I think maybe a few more breaks from drilling to swallow or breathe would have been nice. Or maybe more numbing, as I jumped multiple times from the pain. I don't think I should have felt that! And then her snarky remarks started, trying to school me on turning my head enough was childish and disrespectful! I couldn't turn my head, because the nitrous gas hose was hung up under the chair. I had to wave my arms to get her to stop drilling and fix the stupid hose. To add to this calamity, she needed to take 3 impressions not just one - which was not on me, but another snarky reply! At that point, I had had enough and I let the f word slip, "How much longer?" - and again, another snarky schooling verse on cursing at her dentist office. OMG!, Really? But the "final straw"was her grabbing me by both shoulders, yelling at me in Spanish and then abruptly leaving the room, leaving her hygienist to finish! Totally uncalled for, unacceptable and unprofessional... and without an apology! I left knowing I was NEVER coming back to this dentist. Unfortunately for me, I was not able to find a new dentist that would seat another dentist's crown, so I would have to go back one more time. UGGG. Three weeks of pain from the temporary crown and shredded gums, the new crown was in. I got my new crown seated, but again, no apology from Dr. Escobar. No recommendation from me.

They wanted to do a deep cleaning for $140, claiming my gums were in horrible condition. I knew this wasn't the case because I have had regular cleanings every 6 months and I brush my teeth twice daily. I went back to my regular dentist the next day and they confirmed what I knew to be true - my gums are not in horrible condition at all. And I actually got a real cleaning for a fraction of the price Huntsville Family Dental wanted to charge, even without insurance. This place is pushy and seems to be only out for your money.
