Horrible customer service. You will never get your haircut on time, be prepared to sit in the waiting room for an extra 30min every time you go in. They overbook and put their poor time management on you to deal with. you will get a crap haircut for $50+ half the time. I booked a 2:00pm haircut online & my stylist was running late. Once my stylist called my name, he said he was running late and could not complete my haircut within the booked time so he had to cancel and asked me to reschedule or wait for another stylist. This is the second time this happened to me so I asked why me, why am I getting cancelled and I did not get a response so once I was told the wait was long for another stylist, I left. I called to book another appointment and looked at my on-line history and the system showed that the customer was a no show. I had another time this stylist was sick, they called me to reschedule and it showed the customer called to reschedule. I was told this was a system default but it made me feel and look like a bad customer so I asked to speak to a manager who never called back. This place does not always have qualified Barbers on Staff. They also charge you, without telling you, there subscription BS. Charged me $88 for a clipper cut and a Ten Year Subscription! I showed her what I wanted and she was able to create the look and recommend what products I needed to get that look. She is great and fun to talk to, and I would recommend her if you need a cut. 2. I am more than dissatisfied with my service today, I have been coming here for some time and always receive excellent service but today was not that way I was a few minutes late due to traffic they did call but I could not answer as I was on my motorcycle, when I arrived I checked in as normal nothing was said about me being late I stood there for 5 minutes waiting and the receptionist calls me over and tells me that I will have to rebook my appointment because I was late The problem I have is that I have spent my fair share of time waiting after my appointment time as they finished up with another customer and never had a problem waiting but the one time I am late I get bumped and cannot get back in until next week. So I am from out of town and googled barber shops and say this awesome place so I booked to get a haircut I had Liz cut my hair and she did a great job I got the 25 yr and it was great and relaxing I got my hands dipped and came out super soft witch was a first after everything was done I stopped by the bar area and I had one of the best bloody Mary's I've ever had but what was ever better was the very welcoming personality of the bartender Kylie. This is my first visit to a Des Moines hairstylist because I am fiercely loyal to my hairstylist in another state. My apprehension toward this visit was unfounded. My stylist, Aubrey, was professional and did a stupendous job. I had an idea of how I wanted to look and it gave her an idea at how to accomplish it. She explained everything she was doing while keeping the conversation going. Aubrey worked with an intensity that showed that she is well versed in her craft. At the end, she gave me tips on how to style my hair effectively. Thus far, Aubrey and Scissors and Scotch exceeded my expectations. What a great idea! If you're looking for a unique experience this is a must try. The concept is simple: A place for men to go where they can get an old fashioned straight razor shave, a haircut and a scotch (or whatever you prefer). They have several levels of services available. My wife gifted me a straight razor shave, shampoo and haircut. You'll notice that the place is not an ordinary barber shop the minute you walk in. There is a bar/lounge area with several signature drinks and (you guessed it) many brands of scotch on one side. On the other side is the scissors side of the business. I've never had a straight razor shave and I was a little apprehensive. My fears were soon quelled when the first hot towel (there were several) was placed on my face. They use shaving oil and several products that make the whole experience quite relaxing. The aftershave was cooling and bracing. The shampoo/haircut was also first class. The staff was friendly and really took pride in their work. I would highly recommend guys give it a try. It included haircut, shampoo, straight razor neck shave, hand and scalp massage with paraffin hand dip. Hot towels were very relaxing. Waiting now for my straight razor shave. Our stylist was very nice and listened to what I wanted and made sure I liked what she did to his hair before we left. The services you provide are amazing I have sent several models and they have came back with great positive things about their stylist and the services however there was several complaints about the trainer the customers felt very uncomfortable with her staring at them while they're getting their service they were more nervous of the trainer staring at them then the new stylist cutting their hair I personally brought my son and and I too felt uncomfortable with the trainer Drea just staring no comments no conversation one customer I sent in particular stated that he enjoyed the services however he feels that the trainees should be allowed space to work without someone watching their every move and commenting on errors or suggestions while they have a client in the chair. If you trust whom you hired give them their time to showcase their skills and if they have comments maybe talk to them AFTER their client leaves.
