I bought numerous Classic Soft Nougats to give as gifts. I used my rewards card to register my…read morepurchases. We tasted one at home and found it bitter. Luckily, I did not give them to anyone. I took them back this morning and an Asian woman was at the register. I told her it was bitter and to taste it. She asked for my receipt even though my purchase was in their computer via rewards card. I told her that Supply Warehouse has a money back guarantee. She became nasty and called another woman. The other woman (manager) was even nastier. So she called the owner and the owner said it was bitter (thus faulty) product; therefore, the woman gave me a refund but went on to reprimand me and called me the "nastiest customer she's ever seen". I told her I was exercising my right to a refund, as this product was unmerchantable and should not be sold. They both continued to accuse me of being nasty. I told her that her treatment of me was unnecessary, as I will be getting a refund but now she has lost a customer. She said, "I don't care. We don't want you back!" They continued yelling at me and the Asian woman even tried to get another customer involved with the dispute. The other customer was clearly uncomfortable. I told her it was unprofessional to involve another customer. She continued to accuse me of rudeness. I asked the manager her name and she said she didn't have a name, just "the woman with big boobs" and she held her boobs while saying it. I informed her that all of social media will know about this. I have never encountered such disgraceful and unprofessional treatment in a store in all my life, and I shall never go to this store again. I invite the owner to review the CCTV footage of this reprehensible treatment.

Australia really only has two supermarket chains - Coles and Safeway (now known as…read moreWoolworths/Woolies but I'm still living in the 90s). You shop at one or the other, and that's the supermarket you're stuck with for life. We were a Coles family growing up, and I just never found a reason to move to Safeway/Woolies even when I moved out of home. Coles is just that bit brighter, lighter and cleaner, I think. So this Coles is in Mentone which is probably the closest supermarket to my parent's house (not counting IGA, but then, IGA just doesn't even rate as an actual supermarket). We needed to do a bit of shopping for our Australian Christmas celebrations and aside from the fact that I couldn't find anything (I've been shopping in UK supermarkets for too long and they put things in different places) we were happy enough with the selection here. They had a good range of Aussie chocolates and snacks (we were stocking up), and the prices were reasonable as far as Australian prices go. So yeh, Coles, you go alright.
