Während wir im Gastraum saßen, sind Mäuse sichtbar zwischen den Tischen hin- und hergelaufen. Auf Nachfrage beim Kellner hieß es, das Problem sei bereits seit mindestens zwei Tagen bekannt und der Chef kümmere sich darum. Eine wirkliche Entschuldigung oder ein professioneller Umgang mit der Situation erfolgte jedoch nicht. Das hat bei uns ein sehr ungutes Gefühl hinterlassen. Auch kulinarisch konnte der Besuch leider nicht überzeugen. Ich hatte US Prime Beef bestellt, es war das qualitativ schlechteste Steak dieser Art, das ich bisher gegessen habe: faserig, geschmacklich sehr schwach und insgesamt enttäuschend. Zudem wurde unsere Beilage (Knoblauchbaguette) vergessen. Positiv hervorheben möchte ich, dass der Kellner freundlich und bemüht war. Dennoch war die Gesamt-Experience deutlich unter den Erwartungen. Ich hoffe, dass hier sowohl hygienisch als auch qualitativ nachgebessert wird.

They had long waits to be seated and even longer waits for food to arrive. The food, however, was tasty upon arrival, and the waitresses were very nice. The second visit, a few weeks ago, showed the exact same people in house but with none of the screaming. There was one particular interaction with the scary manager and a waitress who dropped something that looked like it could become a scene, but didn't, thank goodness. Instead, we got magnificent steaks and food for very affordable prices. The unlimited salad is definitely a perk, and their wild goat dumpling soup is unique and delightful. Hopefully Cafe Tirol stays awesome and doesn't crumble under pressure ever again!

It appears to be a small staff, and let me say, they really work. They are efficient extremely helpful and attentive without making you feel uncomfortable. Now for the food. My companions said it was the best steak they have had in years. It was cooked as they like it, it was tender and flavorful. There is one caveat to be aware of. The restrooms are up some very steep stairs. I would caution you if you have mobility issues.
