The walk way is built from wood, but is structurally sound and some places have been newly renovated. Its a great place to go on a hot summer day. At the entrance you have restrooms, a small playground, a small see/stream and a mountain cross, which can be reached after a small walk. Be ready to climb a lot of stairs (about 15-20) minutes till you reach the top. There are multiple restaurants, but please check the opening times as the majority are closed on Wednesdays. You get the scenic beauty of Styria's mountains, a wonderful trail that will give your quads and glutes a good workout, and then a meal at the very top coupled with a trail down that leads you by scenic mountain meadows full of cattle wearing cowbells and lovely rustic barns. I hiked multiple translations ls here, though the most treasured one was the route with the log ladders up the waterfalls. However, the hike to the mountaintop to see the cross was also well worth it. Loved the fact that there were beer gardens in strategic locations where one could stop for a pint and a wurst, but also loved how they were properly integrated to not take away from the natural beauty. You definitely need to check this place out if you are a lover of the outdoors who finds yourself in Graz!
