So we had to sleep with an open window, which normally i don,t mind but we slept next to a very bussy intersection. The noise from the road next to the hotel was terrible. For the price of 120 euros it was by far overrated. The breakfastbuffet in the morning was very good.

Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of sleeping at Hotel Ariadne - me and my family was thrown…read moreout of the hotel in themiddle or the night: We (my wife, three children of 0, 6 and 9 years and myself) arrived the 23. of july 2016 at 21 o clock. We had tried several hotels and gasthouses, and when we finally got a room at Hotel ariadne, we were really happy. The room only had three beds, but it was ok - and we had to pay 160 euro for one night, which is quite expensive, but...supply and demand. My wife went fdirectly to bed with our baby girl who was exhausted, while I went to the restaurant with the two other children. We were reccomended not to take the pasta, as it would last at least 20 minutes to make it, and the waitress noticed the children were tired. This was very friendly, so we followed the reccomandation and took schnitzels all three of us. After 40 minutes I asked the owner of the hotel(we got served by both thewaitress and the owner) , when our food would arrive, and I was told it would arrive immediately. But it took nearly 20 minutes more. After dinner I went to the room with the children and returned to the restaurant to have another beer. Here I was met by the owner, who asked me in a very confronting manner, if I came to pay for the dinner. I responded, that I would l like to pay in the morning, as it is costum at a hotel, and also because my wallet was in the room. This made the owner angry, and she demanded, that I went up and got my wallet. I responded, that I found the service at the hotel was lacking a lot - also because it had taken almost an hour to make three schnitzels - two with fries and one with cold potatosalad. This made the owner so angry, that she yelled, that I was to go to my room and pack and leave the hotel. She said I had refused to pay my bill, and was stealing her food. I of course denied this, saying that I always pay for what I eat, and merely was asking to pay in the morning insted. I tried to solve the situation by saying, that all right - ill get my wallet and pay, but in the meantime, the owner had called the police!!! I asked the waitress from before, if we could find a solution, but she was clearly intimidated by the owner, and with tears in her eyes, she told me, that she couldnt help. I pleaded with the owner: do you really want me to wake up my three children of five months, 6 and 9 years in the middle of the night, but she didnt care. In the end the police came, and though they clearly didnt like the situation, had to tell me, that is was the owners decision. So...at 0.30 in the night I had to leave the hotel with my wife and three children, who at this point was quite frightened, and we had to sleep in the car. We got our money back of course. I really wasn't agitated at any point - untill we actually were thrown out - and even if I had been, she totally overreacted. I mean, i wasnt throwing with the furniture, singing in the hallway or anything - I merely said that the dinner took a long time and that I would pay my bill in the morning. I can only warn everybody not to visit this hotel.
