The people working were really sweet and patient with my bad German. I ordered at the counter, but once I told them I was dining in, they asked me to take a seat and they came to my table to ask if I wanted a drink and to bring my food once the quiche had been heated, and came back to take payment once I was finished - very attentive service! I ordered a Gemüse Quiche (veggie quiche with carrots and broccoli) and a slice of Fehmarnsche Schichtentorte (marzipan raspberry layer cake). The quiche was stuffed with carrots, which I liked, and the egg base was mild and creamy. The airiness of the cake and whipped frosting was nice with the rich marzipan. Sometimes vanilla cakes are too plain for me but the marzipan coating added a complexity that made this one very enjoyable for me. It wasn't overly sweet either so it didn't leave a sugary aftertaste. I had a few bites of some other cakes too and they were all of the same high quality, so I'd definitely recommend them for a special treat.

Nice cinnamon baked thing that was light and flaky. The coffee machine was self-service automated and yes, it filled my bowl of coffee perfectly with delicious caffeinated coffee. Comfy spot for eating and drinking but not really a hangout inside. I enjoyed my breakfast and that was that. [Review 21247 overall - 251 in Germany - 212 of 2024.]
