I was a loyal customer with the Family pharmacy on Fenton rd in Flint for about 2 years, and…read morealthough I was meet with poor customer service and the blonde head pharmacist who had the personality of 'a rock' and who was always rude and short with me I continued to have my prescriptions filled there due to the convenience that the pharmacy was located about 5 mins from my home and also the fact that larger commercial pharmacies I had used in the pass became such a hassle with my medication being out of stock or the medication had to be ordered. I thought Family pharmacy would be a better choice for me so I ignored some the "red flags" I experienced when I joined Family pharmacy starting the poor customer service you recieve when you walk in to pick up your prescription the counter lady never greets you with a simple "hello, or May I help you" instead you get a blank stare until you speak up to tell her your name and you are there for a prescription pickup. The hours and sometimes days it takes for your prescription to be filled is ridiculous, you are given no updates on the status of prescription and using the Rxlocal app to check your status is not helpful because the app would show closed when the pharmacy was open for hours when you called in to check the status of your prescription the pharmacist was so nasty and would give a very long time frame when you prescription would be ready. Recently my prescription was sent to Family pharmacy by my Dr's office in error because I no longer wanted my prescription sent to Family pharmacy and choose to use another small local pharmacy my prescription was there at Family pharmacy for 2 days until I called myself to inquire was my prescription sent there in error and indeed it was, I asked the pharmacist why wasn't I informed after 2 days of my prescription being sent there in error she simply responded "You are right I guess I could of called you". this speaks of the unprofessional mishandling of your prescription needs. I have now switch to Big Brother pharmacy where the customer service, the speedy prescription fills, as well as the updates you are given without the hassle of calling to inquire the status of your medication the service all around is exceptional. I would not recommend Family pharmacy to anyone if you value your time and customer service is important to you.

They really should tell you when you set up your appointment or ask if you want to set up a second exam. Update: they did call today with three canceled appointments. Decided to try somewhere else, since there have been a lot of issues here. My son had an exam on the 13th and they just sent the glasses out four or six days ago. No one told us that the frames just came in that day and that was the hold up - until I spoke with them today. When my husband went to pick up his glasses they had the lenses in the wrong frame and he said they just had them in a drawer mixed together. They have a trial contact in for one eye for my husband who was seen on the 13th as well and they won't give the script until he gets the trial contracts. Apparently - they are on back order but my husband was told they expected them to be there in a few days. Hopefully the doctor can just finalize the prescription so we can go somewhere else. Would not recommend.
