Parts of the wall are not right so now the overall dimensions are wrong which is causing with doing the silplate. There was spots along the wall that are not plum so it's not level going down the wall. When we contacted Adam about coming out to address the situation he got angry with us on the phone like it was our fault they screwed up. When he did come out he never apologized for the huge issues we had with the wall. His way of fixing the problem was to give us the basement window for free . Wow, leave us with their costly mistakes unless we wanted to spend time and money in court to go after them. Now, we have to find ways to adjust how the rest of our addition is to be done to adjust for their errors. We will never recommend this company to anyone!! We have since heard that several other people that had this company do work for them had huge issues as well and they weren't happy with the results. Wish we knew this ahead of time. A year ago we had them build a 10x65 addition on our house so my handicapped spouse wouldn't need to use stairs to the basement . The new roof on the addition leaked inside; they redid it. It leaked again; they redid it. While they finally fixed the inside leaks after 3 attempts, a year later the new roof is still leaking into the eave. Their ONLY solution is for us to pay to put on a metal roof, which they offered to put on. Being retired and on a fixed income, that's not a viable option, so we're stuck with a brand new leaking roof. Each time the roof has leaked it's never their fault, and that's how it ended. It's not their problem. They said we signed a waiver of liability for the roof, but that was on a separate contract for another roof repair before we realized what was going on. I will NEVER use Adam Garland Construction for anything again.
