As a customer experience, this was shocking. Long wait times with no apology or explanation, food delivered at different times or not at all, manager who couldn't care less (to the point of bullying and assault). As someone who manages customer service teams and advises others on how to do it right I'd use this as an example of how not to do it. Avoid avoid avoid! My wife and I ate in Schoarlhutte twice during our visit to Hauser Kaibling once with the two of us and secondly to bring friends. We heard about the ribs and on the first occasion ordered but they had run out. Food ordered chicken was good. We brought 6 friends along again to try the ribs weeks later. No ribs again. Ordered drinks after waiting a while, no food order taken. c.10 mins later food then ordered. We ordered the special of the day, Tiroler Grostl. Food came out 30 mins later for everyone else and not us only to be told they had no more. Could have said earlier. We ordered burgers. Had to chase 3 times eventually came out 30mins later. We asked for a discount and told, no not their problem. Asked for manager who came over and promptly said 'you pay' and put his hand around back of my neck. I've never experienced such bad customer service. In fact one waitress justified by saying 'you wait two hours for a doctor'!! Laughable service. There are plenty of good huts on the mountain - if you want food advertised and good timely friendly service on your holiday, avoid this place as it isn't one of them. read more
