On a bitter-cold day, I popped into this place hoping to find a hat that was warmer than the one I…read morewas wearing. There were lots of styles ranging from warm, yak-yarn head-snuggly hats to non-wintery snap brims, boaters, and fedoras.
Happy to be inside from the cold, I tried on lots of different things before a young saleslady approached and asked if I had any questions. Then we started trying on hats for each other, as she opined that such-and-such type of hat would make my face too long, this one would accentuate my ears too much, and that one would look too narrow for my head. In the end, we found a pork-pie hat that I liked. Because it was the only one she had left, and to encourage me to take the leap into first time non-wintery hat ownership, she took 10 euros off the price.
The next day, a Sunday when most things were closed, I was walking past a cafe in the 'hood and the saleswoman happened to be inside and spotted me. She waved, and seeing me sporting my new hat, and waved and gave me a thumbs up!
