Kirk is a very caring therapist and provided a lot of space for me to talk and work through my issues. I had the luxury of working with him over several years when I was not in crisis and, looking back, I see an incredible amount of self-growth that unfolded gradually over that time. He had a gentle way of helping me to recognize my patterns and was very patient when I was unable to make a change I had set out to make or face a challenge I was not yet ready to face. He is primarily existential in orientation, which helped me to really think about what's important and visualize how I want my life to be for it have meaning. He also brings some focus to the body, which is helpful for us "in-your-head" types. There were times when I wanted him to be more directive, but overall, his gentle approach was extremely helpful for me. Most importantly, Kirk's accepting, warm presence allowed me to be more accepting and kind to myself, which has made a huge difference in my life. I'm very grateful for the work he did with me. read more
