At the recommendation of a friend, the BF contacted Schmuck-Galerie to see about getting a very special ring made for me
These people do custom work but they also carry their own line of originally-designed pieces that are very much worth checking out!
Working in silver, gold & platinum, they have designs & price-points for every budget & no job is too small (or large, as the case may be).
Communication throughout each build process has been extraordinary - emails, pics, phone calls - Eric is very consultative and offers his suggestions while taking into account what we are asking for & the results could not have been better
Ended up that BF had 2 pieces made here & they are each the most well-crafted, well thought-out, detailed piece of jewelery I could have dreamed
The 1st piece with which a certain "question" was presented, was a sweet Tanzanite ring - this ring has interwoven bands to symbolize our lives intertwining & is also shaped like a heart in a variety of ways....the open sides each reference half of a heart & the ring itself is shaped like a heart (see pic)
This was to be my "Travel Ring". BF popped THE question in Paris but my diamond wasn't ready so he & Eric conceived, designed, & crafted this ring to use on our special night & for me to use when I want to wear a symbol of our commitment but may not be in a situation where it would be smart to tout a big fat diamond
For the diamond.....we wanted an extremely intricate & complex pattern, set in platinum w/ micro-pave - what we got back was perfection. Having only a few pictures to work off of, Eric replicated the ring we wanted & I dare say it is even better than the original
Next up is the wedding band & can't wait to see what it looks like!
