Schlecks' concept is to mix not just ice creams, but also toppings and sauces on a "cold stone", and then serving it all in a waffle cup coated with chocolate and crumble.
Judging by what other people ordered, this mostly leads to a) a chaos of flavors (think chocolate and mango ice cream with cinnamon sauce, M&Ms, strawberries and cookie crumble) any 4-year old would be proud of, and b) quite pricey servings ... it seems 5-6+€ is a typical mid-size cup.
Unfortunately, Schlecks uses this chaos you unleashed on yourself as an opportunity to hide sub-par ingredients. The ice cream itself is barely on the level of supermarket home brands. And the chocolate used to coat the waffle cups is of the cheapest quality.
The concept seems to be a good business idea, but given both quality and price, I was disappointed with Schlecks. read more
