If you suffer from neck and back pain or are simply looking for a comfortable, well-crafted mattress made 100% out natural latex and organic bedding, then Schlafstatt is the store for you. It's owned and run by Frau Ursula Braun, who speaks English and is incredibly attentive, kind, accommodating, meticulous, and caring. She spent one hour learning about my medical history (emergency microdiscectomy three years ago in Germany for an L5-S1, which re-herniated less than a year after surgery) and concerns and calibrated my neck and spine alignment and comfort levels on her mattresses; the same was done for an hour for my husband.
Feeling confident about our first positive mattress store experience, we jumped at the chance to buy two mattresses (of varying firmness), a bed topper, bed slats, and pillows from Ursula. Unfortunately, at that time she did not accept credit cards, only EC cards, which was a big disappointment for us. Surprisingly, though, Ursula contacted us a week later to say that her bank would assist her in accepting our credit card payment.
After solidifying a verbal purchase agreement, Ursula had all of our items mailed to our home and had her delivery staff adjust the bed slats to accommodate our individual neck and spinal needs, as well. We were given one week to test all purchased items, with a 100% return policy guaranteed but at the return shipping expense of the customer. Fortunately, all items proved to be perfect for us; per store policy, prompt payment was made in person the day after our one week trial ended.
Although I have weekly physical therapy sessions, I must say that the items purchased from Schlafstatt have proven to be even more helpful in my pain management. Thanks to this purchase, I can now sleep without any neck or back pain which I have not been able to do for years (thank you, Frau Braun!).
One last note: Like Ursula, her staff members are very friendly. Additionally, her store's appearance is quite modern, warm and inviting and is located right next to a popular Thai restaurant. It also offers a small but nice indoor play area for customers with children, which kept our 5-year-old entertained for those two hours that we spent with Ursula. Parking is available behind the store, but since it's limited with spaces that are very small it is recommended that you consider taking the U-bahn (closest U-bahn stop would put you within 10 minutes walking distance of the store).
If you want a better sleeping experience, go to Schlafstatt - you won't regret it! read more
