Yelp Review 2023 #274:
When the movie "Schindler's List" came out my Mom watched it with my older sister and I couldn't go because I was "too young to watch a movie like this." A decade later, I finally got to see the movie and I bought a copy of the movie after.
There were scenes in the movie that I can never forget and unsee and imagining what it was like all over Europe especially Poland during the war - there are no words. My "fascination" about World War II began after watching "Schindler's List". And that's how I ended up going to Poland.
Located in Kaziemerz in Krakow. It's not uncommon to see walls with bullet holes. They have kept this part of town the way it was for the most part telling history without speaking a word.
Google Maps will have you scratching your head. It'll tell you you're already there but you don't see it! There are 2 ways you can get here: a door next to what looks like a pub which I hesitantly and slowly tried to open, and a small gate on the other end.
This alley now has a cafe, a bar, art gallery, and an antique shop. On the wall, you'll see pictures and information about "Schindler's List" when they filmed at this location.
It's an alley. It's free. It takes less than an hour to take pictures and read the information. read more
