This is a smaller theater hidden away in the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, not to be confused with the much larger Fred Kavli Theater. You enter the theater through the Thousand Oaks City Hall entrance, which is in the same building as the Fred Kavli Theater. It's a much smaller theater, and because of this there is no such thing as a bad seat. It's a nice venue. They put on smaller performances here, and the tickets are usually far less expensive.

The Canyon Club & Special Events Center - The bar. It's about 5 times as long as this section, yet they only use this small portion for serving.

The food (we each ordered a steak) was good but a little pricey and just needed salt, the staff was helpful and friendly, and contrary to previous reviews, the ladies room was well-supplied and clean. The one negative is the table seating. It's too crowded. It is very difficult to get out of your seat - it's a struggle to pass through your row. The music before the shows and afterwards is too loud and make it difficult to have conversations. We would go back to The Canyon - but this time we would sit in the General Admissions seating.

Waiting 1 1/2 hours for food to be delivered to the table was terrible. Perhaps Canyon should do pre-order meals in the future for better service. I know we don't come here for the food or the service. But we are made to purchase a meal, so it should at least arrive at the tables in less than an hour. We arrived 2 hours before the show and ate during the opening band. But let's face it Canyon Club gets amazing band and has incredible sound. We'll always be back for more. There's just room for improvement with the meal service. I saw quite a few people get up to complain food delivery was too long. Some were eating at 10pm. The band started at 8.

I must say, the theatre we were in to see the show was veryyyyy comfortable. The seats are spacious and soft and comfy to sit in. The theatre was smaller than I expected, but still fit so many people. Lighting and sound are great. Bar service is easy too, there were 3 different bars to choose from so we were able to head to the ones with the shortest lines. Drinks are a bit pricey though. Wonderful show, so much fun!!!! There's no free street parking nearby, so you'll most likely have to pay $16 to park in the lot there. You're not allowed to bring in food or drinks because they sell those items inside, and they also probably don't want you bringing in anything that isn't permitted. They had plenty of staff working the event, from security guards to ushers, helping people find their seats. As for the ambience, the place was well-decorated throughout the inside it was actually really nice. I would definitely recommend it if there's a show you want to see and it's being held at the Civic Arts Plaza. Don't hesitate to buy those tickets just be aware that you'll probably have to pay for parking.

They have a number of reds and whites to pick from. I had the cab Sauvignon and was quite happy with it. We brought in our own food. They offer live music on Saturday nights. It was a little "West" for some people, but 4pm on Friday, and everyone got there without too much traffic. When we arrived, the windows were open, a nice breeze came through, there was a great wine selection, and Greg was an awesome host (educating the newbies about the wines, talking LPs). My team picked out LPs from Phil Collins to Drake to Sade to Amy Winehouse that Greg put on while we enjoyed the afternoon. Yes, it's a great place to do wine flights, or weekend evening live music, or just a bottle with friends, but the work happy hour hit a wonderfully refreshing note - and the entire crew loved it. I highly suggest opting for Nabu as a great happy hour place.

That's exactly how I describe my experience at Oak and Iron! You can tell that you're experiencing a work of art and a person's labor of love. Erika was our host and she was phenomenal! I'm definitely looking forward to my next experience at Oak and Iron!

The vibe is industrial and low-lit, like the kind of bar where the walls have stories but won't snitch. Small space, metal-and-concrete aesthetic, but somehow still warm and cozy. Perfect for a date night or a "let me mentally unpack my life over cocktails" hang with my best friend. What keeps me coming back? The bartenders actually listen. I can walk up and give the vaguest description -- "classic but not sweet, strong but not too whiskey-forward, smooth but still gives main character energy" -- and they'll just... create it. They've made me drinks that aren't even on the menu -- Army Navy, Aviation, etc. -- and every single one was spot on. They always manage to find the right drink for me, which is honestly a skill more people should have. The servers are genuinely nice, the liquor selection is solid, and the energy is chill without being pretentious. I've also heard there's a speakeasy hidden in here somewhere, and trust me, one day I'll find it like I'm unlocking a side quest. Definitely one of my favorite bars in Thousand Oaks -- industrial vibes, great people, and bartenders who match drinks to my personality better than most men can.

We were originally seated in the balcony but got upgraded to the founders circle -- we were in the third row of the section, just off center. The seats were perfect, even for my family who are all around 5 feet tall -- we could see perfectly since the seats are angled. I also liked that there was a lot of room in between the rows so we weren't cramped. The man next to me was over 6 feet tall and his legs were nowhere close to the row in front of us, so that's not just a short person observation! If you're sensitive to noise, I would recommend bringing earplugs, because the sound in there is LOUD. You definitely won't have a problem hearing. I also read some reviews that said parking was difficult. Well, take it from this parking-challenged person -- it could not have been easier! Huge garage with equally huge parking spots. Yes, it could take a bit to get out since it's single file, but a car let me in very easily, and I literally got out of the venue in 5 minutes. I can't wait to experience more shows here!

There was enough leg room but if you're very tall, get an aisle seat! Don't waste money on the Founders Lounge upgrade. It's a smallish room with not that much seating and a cash bar. I'm still unclear what we paid for.
