What began as a five star experience sadly devolved into this rating.
Schaap Moving & Storage offers competitive prices and the fellows who loaded the truck for the move were pleasant, efficient and very respectful of my possessions. Unfortunately, a stone console table, even though it was well wrapped, broke during the move. These things can happen.
Where the company fell down on the job was regarding customer service. I immediately informed them of the damaged item and even sent the original invoice for its purchase to substantiate the value of the piece. After many phone calls and emails, there was never any resolution from the person in charge of residential moves. I now have a broken table top and no recourse from Schaap Moving and Storage. The cost of replacement would not be an expense to the company since I purchased insurance so I don't understand the reluctance on the part of the moving company to make this right.
What a shame that a company that could have gotten a stellar review showed that it really doesn't care about its clients! read more
