Stumbled upon this awesome little antique mall today outside of Indiana. I was on 119 when I saw a…read moresign that said antique mall two miles ahead and decided to google it and stop. I wasn't disappointed. Huge selection and tons of different booths. I ended up with the hand-tooled Mexican Leather bag for only $40 and a set of Hazel Atlas Glass S&P with a specific design my family collects. Unfortunately the CC machine was down and I didn't have cash (no atm on site), so I did have to leave and drive into Indiana to use an atm which was an inconvenience. Would definitely come back next time I pass through!

Visited for the first time today. Had a good experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Enthusiastic. Comfortable seating. Favorite flavor: gello. Try it. It's like pudding in your mouth. Wow.

Was out looking for a few books for one of my nieces and when in Indiana this was basically the…read moreonly place to go that is strictly a bookstore. It was nice that there was a bookstore in the downtown area and it was nice that I was able to be in that area, it had been a while. Some of the selection is limited, this isn't your full run bookstore. They don't have full sections, but what they do have for the sections seem to hit it right on the nose. My sister had put specific books on the list for her and they had several of those right in reach for me. I was a bit skeptical when I went to the children's literature section as it wasn't big and it looked picked over. That just made me browse through the store a bit more. I was able to look over the display areas and sections that were a bit more concentrated for areas. The employee I had the chance to deal with was very nice. She knew what she was talking about, and even though it were children's books she knew the subject of each book. She was particularly knowledgeable about the two books saying how much those are great and did not stay on the shelf long. The only bad thing about this place is that it is hard to find if you are driving through the area. There is no eye catching sign outside to let you know this place exists. There is a very small, paper made (I think), sign in the window. I literally had to go around the block twice before finally parking, and walk the sidewalk to be right in front of it before realizing where it was.

We were the last customers on a Wednesday evening and had a very nice cashier who allowed us to finish our shopping even though it caused her to be a little past closing. However, my opinion changed after my 14 year old daughter selected a gem stone necklace, only to discover it was broken when she opened it. As I said earlier we were the last customers, so Thursday morning as we left to return home, we stopped back to exchange it only to be told very rudely, "ALL SALES FINAL" it was a $4 necklace that a 14 year old girl used her own money to buy. The fact that it couldn't be exchanged is one thing but to talk to a young girl so rudely and unprofessionally was upsetting. When we return to the area, as we plan to do, we certainly will take our business elsewhere.

It's a tradition to stop every time I visit Cook Forest. I can honestly say it's the best store around for gifts or anything relating to Cook Forest. Some of the local gift shops have nice items - sure - but I have found they are mostly overpriced or mostly all homemade items. Parkers has a great selection of everything from toys, t-shirts, mugs, sandals, purses, jewelry candy etc. The list goes on and on. I enjoy every visit and always find something new to take home as a treasure. I love the jewelry the most!! Parkers has a nice selection of homemade jewelry as well as sterling silver and much more. They are open into the fall season. If it's before Memorial Day or after Labor Day I always call to ensure they are open. I was not able to "check in" when I visited the store over the weekend. I kept getting an error message stating I was too far away to check in but - I was there? I think it might be a mailing address or something off on how it's listed on yelp. If you are in the Cook Forest area. . I recommend stopping. Its a fun store to check out and the best in the area no doubt. I look forward to my next visit ...
