Approximately 2 years ago my Aunt purchased a Honda Pilot at Scarboro East Auto, there was some strange code issue with her stereo sometime after, which the dealership rectified quickly at no added cost, she continues to be happy with her purchase. In 2016 I needed a vehicle after moving to Oshawa. In December my father found a fair priced Honda Odyssey online. To my surprise we ended at the same dealership speaking to the same helpful person who sold my Auntie her Honda Pilot. Mina (the salesperson who helped us both times) did not pressure us to make the sale, I could sense his genuine wish to get his customers into the right car for them as buying a used vehicle can be uneasy especially for ladies who are not very mechanically inclined :) Mina and the Scarboro east team helped us make a good decision both times. The purchase was efficient and easy and included all the necessary papers including the vans full history, registration, plates, emissions and safety completed by Mina who did all the running around. They referred me to a good place for rotating summer/winter tires. I feel happy and safe in my Van. It was a a big deal to me as I have not driven since 2011 after a scary accident. The salesperson was nice and the manager was kind. The attention to detail on the safety check...? hmm. Don't get me wrong, I do love the car - it now, runs great. I paid $695.00 for a sub-par safety check. Within a month after purchase: I had to get new tires ($700) because the tires on the car after the safety were "barely passable". I had to get a new wheel bearing in the back ($300) AND 24hrs after I got the car home, the battery fried ($200). The safety check took 3 weeks to do because of an issue with the seatbelt/airbag lights, but I couldn't wait any longer and NEEDED the car. Parts were hard to source but they found them. They were okay with that and they offered to fix it if I came back, but the dealership is way out of my way, so I told them I would have my mechanic fix it, and I would take care of it. It took my mechanic 2 hrs to find and fix the problem not using any of the sourced parts, it was a loose wire. I would seriously reccomend they find better mechanics to safety the cars. read more

I'm not sure if they're under new management but I can honestly say that my experience was the exact opposite of the other reviews here. I walked in with not much to spend and I was very clear about that with the salesman. He didn't hesitate to come out and show me around even though it was very cold that day. I ended up buying an older civic. They said it would be as is only because it was under $2000. So I had my buddy come down and check out the car and we decided that it shouldn't need too much to pass safety so I bought it. They even referred me to one of their mechanics to help with the cost of parts and labour and only had to spend $300 to certify it. These guys are legit and go out of their way to help people.
