I just had two more teeth starting to loosen and "wobble." I stopped in without an appointment, but Dr. Staniforth had me come in to his dental chair to check. He did his "wobble test" on the two loose teeth and asked me if they were hurting and what I wanted to do. We agreed to do nothing for now, unless and until they were too painful for me to tolerate and then remove them. He has already built one "appliance" for me to replace 4 other missing teeth that looks close to natural. Losing teeth is fun as a kid; for seniors it is painful and worrisome. I went on their website to ask if they accepted my insurance and they got back with me right away to set up an appointment. Dr Pollard and his staff are all so friendly and informative. After lockdown restrictions lifted, the whole staff wore face masks and followed a thorough procedure to make sure everyone coming in was healthy and felt safe. Dr. Cook is the most comforting medical professional I have ever worked with. The "bed-side…read moremanner" here was completely disarming, and they were very thorough about explaining the procedures and what to expect when I have needed checkups, cleanings, fillings and oral surgery referrals. If you loathe the dentist, go to Dr. Cook. She takes a lot of time to walk you step-by-step through what is happening and what it will feel like. You'll always know what is coming. The only drawback is that she is not in any of the major dental insurance networks, which means you'll have to pay up front and wait for a reimbursement check. That's peanuts to me because Dr. Cook and her staff do exceptional work. I can't say enough about this superb small town dentist.
