The Brave New World is a shop hidden in a side street of the Schildergasse in Cologne, which is why…read moreyou'll have a hard time finding it by accident. The BNW is a games shop, offering anything from role-playing games and tabletop games over board and card games to comics and even a few t-shirts. A word of caution: the shop is oriented toward a geekish audience, and you will not find many family games between Warhammer miniatures and Shadowrun sourcebooks. One advantage of its rather obscure location is the insider quality the shop has; you easily get into conversation with the shopkeeper (a fellow who actually is quite knowledgable of his stock). Even should you have a more exotic wishes, he can probably help you. Further, the BNW also hosts various events, ranging from regular game meetings to tournaments, which makes it a valuable place to be even when not trying to spend money. Thus the BNW is one of the best places for your roleplaying (and similar) needs in Cologne.
