Best Photographer in PDX…read more I have been using White Glove Photography since I got married in 2007. Sandee really took the time to get to know me and what we were looking for in our pictures. She offered many options to choose from and on the day of the wedding was punctual and professional. My wedding pictures are amazing. Unfortunately there were some circumstances that cause us to separate 2 weeks after my daughter was born. Sandee was so kind and sent me an email to tell me that she wanted to make sure I got pictures done of my daughter. She insisted that I do it even though I was going through a difficult time and for this I will forever be grateful. I have since brought my children to have their photos done more regularly with Sandee and they have turned out perfect. She has the ability to snap the photos at just the perfect time so that they reflect their personalities. I would recommend Sandee to anyone that asks and I would never have a doubt that they would not be satisfied.

RUDE! I won a free…read moresitting from WGP. My contact person was Sandra. From the beginning, emails conversations was tense. She was less than thrilled she was doing a give away. The way I see it, is that the give away in the hope that this new (free) customer is going to fall in love with your work and want to hire you for other jobs. So it's in your best interests to play nice and give good customer service. When I explain the shots were for my small children and one teenager and they were for Easter. She wasn't so thrilled. She wanted these shots done during the day on a week day. Which would be fine if they were infants. But they are in preschool and first grade. So taking them out of school wasn't an option. Was told that we had to meet at Alpenrose Dairy farm/campus. And if I was a little bit late, she would leave. Well we showed up early only to discover that campus is HUGE! We had no idea where to meet her. So I called her. She wasn't happy about that. Told us to meet her at the gazebo. She knew that we would have 3 kids with us. We stood out in the cold waiting for her to show up. When she did she walked right past us! Mind you we are the only ones out in this HUGE yard and only one gazebo. She wandered around and then came back and walked pasted us again! Then turned around and asked if we were her party. My husband had brought his camera because we usually take a camera with us places. We were taking pictures of the flowers and trees and such. When she came up to us, the first thing she said was "What do you think this is some sort of camera workshop?" I couldn't believe what she said! I said "Excuse me?" She was rude to my kids. Keep on calling my teenager "little boy". The kids were uncomfortable with her. She took only a few shoots and then said, "that's it" and turn around and left. No goodbye. No email the next day saying we are processing your shoots. Zero communication. So I emailed her wanting to know where the Easter proofs were so I could have them in time for Easter. Only to get an email from her stating they were closed from Thursday - Tuesday. 6 days, really! So needless to say, I didn't get my shots in time for Easter. So the following week we I get an email with a link for the proofs. There were only 4 shots to choose from. That was it. And they were not good. She touched up one of the photos so much they didn't even look like my kids. Thinking the other shots may look better without the ink stamp on it, I selected one. At check out there was a fee. I email her and told her I had selected my free photo. Never did hear back from her. The whole thing was a waste of our time. I'm so grateful that I didn't spend any money on this company. Lucky for us we did get some shots of the kids with our camera and they turned out great. So it was be a NO hire this company. The photography is bad but worst of all the rudeness from Sandra was over the top. NEVER IN THE MILLION YEARS WOULD I HIRE HER.

I adore these photos, but as his third birthday approached, my heart was searching for something different. He's not a "sit and smile" kinda boy. He's wild and colorful.. a rainbow that injects creativity into my life. His personality is hard to put into words, but I can SEE it, and I wanted someone to capture *that*. Kelly was the photographer who captured his rainbow blur. Before she arrived, she already had a vision in her head.. a couple of times, I heard her talking through the ideas she had thoughtfully written down. I'm curious as to when those ideas entered her mind.. I dunno! But that's the beauty.. she's clearly inspired by her own lens and life, and she injects that perspective into her fine art photo sessions. She has a plan and a vision, and you just know you're in the hand of an artist. During the session, my son would not sit still. But that's ok, there wasn't any pressure for him to do so. I felt beautiful throughout, even as my body jumped back and forth from strength to defeat as Bruno ran wild.. and despite the intermittent chaos, Kelly took the time to gently guide me into random patches of light that looked simply ethereal in the final edits. Without knowing it, she captured a photo that contained a photo of my late father in the background.. so he was there, and perhaps he was in the light, too? I dunno, but the photos represent more than a happy morning with my son.. they encompass our dance and our blurs and the push-and-pull of our hearts and bodies moving together. They are art. Always an honor to have Kelly and her cameras into our home, and I would recommend her for anyone wanting photos that will live for centuries in albums and prints.. photos that will be traced by the hands of your kids and grandkids.. photos that will help us better understand love and light. Thank you, Kelly!

From our engagement, to our wedding, to now a remote session to capture our growing family. We were unsure how our photos could possibly be good from a remote session (PDX to Colorado)...but we were absolutely amazed! Kelly was able to capture candid moments in our own home and the quality of photos and artistry is just as amazing as our in-person sessions. We're so glad we found June Lion and recommend her to all our friends...now they can work with her from anywhere!

We had our newborn session with Gretchen today and I was completely blown away. Honestly, if I…read morecould give 6 stars, I would. She totally lived up to her Instagram standards (which are pretty awesome-go see for yourself). Gretchen was a total professional. She did a million things that just exceeded our expectations for a newborn shoot so here are just a few: -She gave pre-shoot instructions on what to do and what not to do before our shoot (when to feed him, what to bring, etc) including driving instructions. -She has a studio that is full of everything we could ever need such as outfits, swaddles, blankets, backdrops, props, and more. -She washes everything used during each shoot. -She uses things like baby pads, gloves, and more in order to make the process sanitary as well as comfortable for baby. -She gave us plenty of options for things to use during the shoot as well as making helpful suggestions. For example, she has hundreds of swaddles and blankets of all textures and colors to choose from so my husband and I were having trouble choosing. She said "Well, let's start with this... what color are your shirts you will be wearing? Okay great, then let's stick with earthy tones. Here are some tones that would go well. And if that's the palette we're going with, I would suggest this backdrop." These things were not only helpful for my husband and I, but they ended up looking GREAT! She really is skilled at her craft. -She is both professional and personable. Meaning, she is going to go through the poses in an expedient yet gentle way, but will also oblige you in some silly stories or witty banter throughout the process. It really was enjoyable for everyone involved. -During the mom&baby photos, I asked her if I could peek at them to make sure there was something I liked. She did a great job but I wanted to get an additional angle so I asked if that was possible. Not only did she oblige, but she didn't make me feel bad about it or like I was imposing. It was so nice! -She is very seasoned in this profession (she's been at it for over a dozen years) so she knows the poses, what works, what doesn't, when to push baby and when to move on to the next thing, etc. -Not only is she a great photographer, but she's also just good with babies in general. Meaning, she was the one doing all of the outfit changes, swaddling, and more. She was experienced in the sense that she could sense the difference between a cranky baby and an incoming fart or poop. This is obviously helpful in a session like this. She was able to rock him, soothe him, move his body in a way that he liked, and was careful about removing her hands slowly in a way that wouldn't startle him, etc. She just SPEAKS baby, if that makes sense. Overall, we are super happy with the shoot and although we haven't received the photos yet, we know they're going to be great because, well, we saw them taken. Everything was adorable, classy, and clean. It was just perfect. Thank you, Gretchen, so making this potentially stressful process anything BUT that!!! We will definitely be coming back with baby #2! -Natalia, Tim, and Enzo

She is very professional and easy to work with. She had tons of props, outfits, hats, and amazing backdrops. Her photography room is heated and has sound machines playing to keep your baby calm and sleepy. She is also very reasonably priced. Make sure to reserve way in advance. Her schedule can get very busy!
