I would not call this contractor if I had to do it again. I contacted him July 2024 in the middle…read moreof a heat wave when my HVAC system stopped blowing. He was the first to respond and I let him go ahead and replace the air handler blower and add Freon for about $2000. The original blower was a Lennox. He replaced it with an ECM variable speed blower and he gave me no warranty. He just said "call me and I'll take care of you." The system failed within 10 days and I called him repeatedly with no response. Finally, I used my wife's cell phone and he picked up. He came and jump-started the system and charged me $261 for what should have been a free follow-up. So today 5-18-26 the blower was unresponsive the first time I used it this year. It did not last even 2 years. I called him to ask about a possible warranty but got no response. I ended up calling another contractor who installed a non-variable speed blower which came with a 4-year warranty and cost less than half the price to install. This kind is a way better option but for some reason Troy did not offer me the option.

What follows is my 4/7/20 email that received no courtesy of a response. Once paid, they had no desire to respond. I'll let you be the judge of whether you feel their actions fair and appropriate. I will stick with Veniskofsky Plumbing and Heating in Vernon. Hello Laura, It was a pleasure speaking with you yesterday and I truly appreciate your offering assistance while Tony is incapacitated. This said, I should have been advised, in advance, of your flat rate billing practices. I loyally work with a lot of contractors, as Tony can attest, and understand that practices vary greatly. My guard was down. Nevertheless, I feel compelled to share with you that I would not have had Allen do the repair if I had known that there was an $89 charge for the 10 minute diagnosis and then the $115 pump would be marked up 250% to $291. When backing the cost of the pump out of the 90 minute job cost we are at a $185/hr labor rate. These are practices akin to those of Aiello, that I avoid and warn people against. In all fairness, I cannot take issue and voice my displeasure to others without first sharing with you. Thus this email. Stay well and all the best to you and Mark, Bruce
