I found a promotion for SAVEOLOGY a not knowing anything about the company, I assumed Saveology was similar to our local Groupon, Bloomspot, Livingsocial etc. It appears I was wrong(ed). 8^( And you know what they say about assuming!!!
On May 11, 2012, I purchased a memory foam mattress topper through one of their promotions (of which I previously purchased one of these mattresses through Groupon back in early April -Groupon managed to get the manufacture to deliver the mattress in less than week. And before my new roommate moved in I had it on my bed and I slept like a baby - really, I have never slept better in my life but that is another review.)
After my purchase with Saveology I thought it a little weird that they were more focused on my credit card info and did not ask for my home address for delivery (or even to verify the cards billing address), they simply took my credit card information and said "thank you. Your purchase was successful! Check back tomorrow for your activated voucher by visiting your my deals page"
WTF? Wait 24 hrs to activate my voucher - what kind of crap is this?
Anxiously the next day I attempted to 'activate' the voucher and was informed that I had to wait 24 hours from the time of purchase - which BTW, they took my $ immediately after they received my account information ( I receive notice from my bank when my account is used). So what is with this wait? Patiently, I rechecked my 'account' later that evening and with a little difficulty was allowed to activate my voucher.
When purchasing the mattress Saveology they present the ad with "Shipping is included; Delivery can take 10-15 business days."
On Thursday, May 17th, I sent Saveology an email requesting information about the delivery of my foam topper, at minimum a TRACKING NUMBER from UPS. I was met with a response of "Give me 48 hrs., to contact the merchant. We do not show your order being shipped as of yet. I do apologize for any inconvenience this has caused."
I received no follow-up from Saveology - so on Wednesday May 23rd and I sent another inquiry asking for the delivery date/tracking number. I got nada.
It is now Thursday, May 24th with no response to my inquiry, no tracking number, no anything to let me know when I may receive my mattress topper.
WTF? I've never heard of a company doing business this way - that is that take your money immediately and you, the consumer, are left up in the air never knowing when you might receive the item you purchased.
I am not excited about Saveology and will not purchase from Savelology again. And why should I, with so many other great companies like Groupon, Bloomspot, Livingsocial, etc., who offer excellent customer service; there is no need to purchase anything elsewhere.
Hey Saveology - when am I going to get my mattress???? Oh and have you heard of YELP? read more
