This is one of the less good charity shops around the Botanic area, but it's getting four stars anyway, because, well, it's a charity shop. Bargains are to be had.
The less good part is mostly about the selection of clothes on offer, which can be quite limited and some of which are a bit bland and elderly. But there are usually offers on, such as a £1 rail or Buy One Get One Free, and the staff are always helpful and friendly no matter how long I spend rifling through the racks or hauling armfuls of stuff to the changing room.
And there are several good parts to this shop to offset the less than perfect clothing range. The choice of books is impressive for a small charity shop, including a classics shelf as well as several shelves' worth of contemporary novels and non-fiction, and prices are very welcome for the skint among us. There are usually also a few board games on offer for a good price, always good for those 'Mon everyone back to mine!' moments after the pub. And the household stuff, from old china teacups to curtains to duvet covers, is probably my favourite section to poke about in. Definitely worth a look. read more
