I'm very fond of this wee Oxfam shop. Unlike its counterparts on the Dublin Road and Botanic Avenue, this one specialises in clothes, mainly vintage, and also has an excellent and well-priced book section.
The clothes are a bit pricier than the average charity shop, but still a good bit cheaper than Rusty Zip or other vintage clothes shops. I paid £20 here for a winter coat last year - but it's calf-length, leather, lined and in a gorgeous burgundy. (My mum, bless her, had given me £100 to buy a coat I'd seen in Dorothy Perkins - and said she was not a bit surprised to get a phone call from me in the Oxfam shop urgently hissing was it OK if I bought this one instead. I even offered to send her the £80 change back, such was the gorgeousness of the coat, but she told me to give it to the staff in Katy Daly's instead. Ta Mum.)
You'll also get accesories and bags here, as well as some new and discounted clothes like jeans and jumpers, and the staff are very friendly. One of my favourite charity shops. read more
