For the pickup, my only problem was finding the pickup spot (it's behind the pharmacy pickup window....on the south wall of the building); the clerk delivered the bags to my car and gave me a receipt clearly denoting what was there and what was out of stock. Good service! Only added cost would have been approx $5 but waived for first few orders. For the delivery, the system sent me status when the picking began, updated on every item not in stock and offered substitutes for my response. Actual delivery was within 15 minutes of my request and very pleasant delivery person. Only added cost was approx $9 for pick and deliver. These are two excellent services and others should try....especially if you're ill, homebound, or if you're trapped in a pandemic!

On top of that, they have 10 for $10 sales all the time. I shop here randomly for canned goods or times when I don't wish to fight the crowds at Walmart. Winchester is full of gems, and this so happens to be one of them. I found it on Facebook and Mom and I headed over on a Saturday morning. I wish I hadn't went grocery shopping the night before because a lot of the items that I bought at the grocery were available here too. I guess that's the bad thing about coming to a Farmers Market on a spur of the moment. Note to self, make sure that I don't go grocery shopping before coming here. Items like cucumbers, green peppers, tomatoes, etc were all items that I spotted and would've snagged. Instead, I walked away with a few tomato plants. Yes, I know you're surprised... I'm growing tomatoes. The locals were socializing and I could totally sense that a lot people come here as a social thing in addition to scoring local homegrown goods.

The prices are affordable but if you check the ounces of the food you will see that the contents have been reduced to get a lower price. So I am not sure if you are saving much. If you are single then the sizes are just right but if you are looking for family sizes then perhaps you should shop elsewhere. The best part is that the Stores are all located close to the people in residential areas. This means you can walk and not have to drive all over town to purchase something quickly. I once read that the average American spends $8,500 a year on their car, car insurance, car maintenance etc. So if you can walk to the Dollar Store and avoid a car then you're saving a bunch. With the closing of the IGA on mainstreet then the Dollar Store is a good replacement. Glad we have something downtown and recommend it to all that need a quick item on the way home from work.

Both times we were there, we scored parking right out front. Literally two steps to the front door. That's convenience! I would consider this a convenient store, not a grocery store. Actually, even for a convenient store, the selection is super limited. They carry a few candies, sodas, chips, those sort of things, but the selection is slim. They have a cafe area and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The prices are cheap. Both times, I got a salad. For $4.10, the salads hold a personal record for me, the largest salad for the cheapest price that I've ever paid. The chef salad: lettuce, tomato, onion, shredded cheese, ham and turkey. The meat was cold cuts, but they were deli meats. The kind of deli meat that they sell there by the pound. The next time, I asked for chicken salad instead of the deli meat, but I wasn't a huge fan of the chicken salad. I also bought a pound of pimento cheese. It was fantastic! The only thing that I didn't like is that they don't use gloves when they prepare the food and I watched as one went straight from working the register to the preparing food.
