There are things in the store that are on sale, that are still more expensive than the Meijer's regular price as an example. Generally, they are still more expensive than their major competitors. In their credit, they sometimes have really great sales. The store is sometimes out of stock on sale items. They do give rain checks on those items so you can buy them at a later date. But the rain check has an expiration date on it, so you have to return in that time. To me, this is a time consuming hassle. In my opinion, the store is decently clean. A major drawback to this store is that at about 11:00 pm, they close all the employee operated checkouts. You have to use the self scan, and if there is several customers waiting, your wait might be longer than needed. I do like Kroger, but the out of stock issue, items that are still over priced, and the self scan causes me to only give a three star rating.
