If you live in Wilmore, or are in the area, please support this family run business, and support a beautiful cornerstone in this town. They often have local honey, and other local produce available at the front of the store. They also have a barrel which they fill with things for the local mission. The owner of Fitch's, Mr. Fitch himself, is a wonderful man, and is absolutely worthy of the highest praise as he is one of the pillars of Wilmore. Absolutely come to Fitch's IGA, even if it does cost a little bit more!

I was able to secure a maroon jacket, but had a difficult time locating Cricut items that were in the far back corner of the store. Unfortunately, the Cricut item I desired was out of stock. The store was busy with last minute shoppers and it was far too many for my liking, so I decided to checkout. Although the lines were long, the cashier monitoring the self checkout station was friendly and offered to check out my item to speed up the process. I really appreciated his initiative.

The long overdue recent renovation to the Lexington/Hamburg store improves the overall shopping experience with bright and wide open aisles and improved facilities. Usually it is 95 cents at big box stores so we just bought two cans to tide us over through our little emergency. The store was so interesting that we continued to browse around and found a great deal on ice cream treats. The My Mochi - Strawberry is regularly priced at $6.49 but was on sale for $3.99 today. One of the more interesting things here is the wood floors. And it seems like at least a third of the square footage is dedicated to fresh produce and fruits.

I loved the cleanliness of the store. They have a wide variety of all sorts of European foods: canned goods, juices, spices & my favorite sweets. There's a lot of different kinds of candy in bulk. I did appreciate the gloves provided in order to grab the candy (even though they're in wrappers, the additional protection was nice).

The store was clean and well lit& they were stocking items as we shopped. One of the things that caught my eye was the produce department. They have fruits I've never even heard of. I love lychee and they have it. I did end up with a prickly pear which I've heard of but never had. Meijer is the only place I can find turkey sweet Italian sausage without spending an arm and a leg. They also had the unsweetened organic banana milk I was looking for. The bakery is actually nicer then other grocery stores and the cakes looked really good. What caught me up was the donut case which is definitely nicer then others. You can find everything from home goods to pet supplies, clothing and everything else in between including a pharmacy . They also like kroger do the rewards card program. I got red and green bell peppers today for a 1.00 a piece can't complain about that. Its also the only grocery store I can find the dark chocolate milky way. They were 7 for 7 today.
