My wife has fond memories of the soda fountain in St. Marys WV so we check them out anytime we see one. Griffith and Feil did not disappoint. The young staff were friendly and told us all about the history. We both had Monte Cristo Sandwiches which were prepared perfectly, very tasty. Service was quick. The only thing that would have made it perfect was if the young people working behind the counter had 1950's era starched white uniforms :-).

The system was messed up and the 2 workers were in the freezer section of the store laughing and talking (supposed to be restocking) while we were standing up front. As I was walking back there to ask for help I noticed a cute Christmas Decoration and was going to purchase it. Upon picking it up I was shocked with the condition of it. It was molded and I've left pics below. I continued to go on back to the freezer section to ask the excuse of employees for help. When I went back there and ask for help up front they rolled their eyes at me as I handed them the molded Christmas decor. The main sign that tells the price of the fuel was on as well! Only the small sign on pumps gives an indication you are closed. YOU MUST GET THE ROAD TO READ IT. Why not leave the pumps on 24 hrs a day?? Worried you'll make money? There is no employee there during the day either! WHO's on meth there?

I stopped for paper towels, toilet paper, plastic cups, Cottonelle wipes, hand soap and some over the counter medication for my Mom. I was pleasantly surprised to find all the items on my list. They didn't have as big of a stock as I'm use to seeing in Sam's. However, considering the shortage of paper and other items I was impressed. They were handing out a paper towel and had cleaning solution for self buggy sanitation at the entrance. All the employees were in masks. I went later in the evening so it wasn't hard to social distance from other customers. I also picked up a rotisserie chicken, $4.98, a Marshall t-shirt on clearance, $4.94, a Marshall U cup set, $29.98, and a breakfast pastry assortment for $4.98, which we all enjoyed!

My boyfriend and I went into the Co-op Warehouse today and one of the owners "casually" brought up the protests/riots that are happening across the country and how ridiculous they were; in hindsight, it was clear she was testing us at this point to see how we would respond. Choosing to remain neutral, I said, "Yep, there's a lot going on..." and left it at that. As I walked around the shop, she continued on and proceeded to tell us her own thoughts on the presidency. Freedom of speech is a right, but when it became clear to her that we did not share the same beliefs, she amplified her opinions and made us very uncomfortable as she goaded us to debate. I respect everybody's right to their own beliefs (and in my personal line of work, I frequently interact with and help/support people with extremely different beliefs than me), but nobody goes into an antique shop looking for this kind of service or interaction. I was ready to make a large purchase, but decided against it as I feel my money is best spent elsewhere. I frequent the shops around this area, but I won't be going back to this one. Hattie and Nan's is possibly the most organized antique shop I've been to so far. I personally thought some of the books were priced too high for their condition, but they were fun and interesting to look through. The shop is relatively small, but its layout has lots of little nooks and crannies that make it easy to explore for a good amount of time. Cozy, in a good way. There are lots of trinkets and dishware, and I was able secure several pieces of a collection for a good price! The lady who rang me up and talked with me most was very knowledgeable and kind. One star off just for some of the pricing and because I was charged an extra $10. The math is done by hand, and I trust it was an honest mistake, though. I didn't notice at the moment, but I trust they would have refunded me if I went back. I'll definitely be back and recommend!

I was told it would first be refunded in 3 hours and now I called and no one even started a refunded so it could take 10 days. Who can afford to wait 10 days when it was your grocery money.
