My husband & I worked with Sunshine Flowers for our wedding in July and were very happy with them!…read more We started by reviewing photos on the website based on a coworker's recommendation, and decided to meet with Constance in person. She had even more photos when we met in person and we had plenty of examples to discuss. She taught us a lot about flower types & flower designs. She is definitely passionate about her profession. I found it very helpful to bring in photos of flowers that I liked from Pinterest, The Knot, etc. Between that and her suggestions to provide color swatches and photos of the dresses, I felt pretty confident in her ability to create the right look for our wedding. On the wedding day, I was absolutely amazed by how beautiful my bouquet was! It had succulents and hints of bright orange among the white, just as I wanted. The bridesmaid flowers were a mix of orange and yellow, and matched with the bridesmaid dresses beautifully. They was a little more yellow than I'd prefer, but I guess that's what I get for requesting NO PINK. The boutonnieres were small succulents and looked nice. She even did small hair pieces for me. In general, Constance is talented, and has a great selection of flowers that allowed me to get the flowers that I wanted. It was a bit more expensive than I expected, but she was very flexible and suggested reusing the ceremony flowers for the centerpieces and cocktail hour flowers for dancing in the barn. Since people were only at one of those places at a time, no one would notice that they were being reused. it worked out well! I'd definitely recommend working with Sunshine Flowers.

I don't take exception to Conni describing my review as a rant. I think I would say it's a humorous…read morerant, but just rant will suffice. But I do take exception to Conni calling it inaccurate. Every problem I describe in my review is the absolute truth. I'm a librarian. I keep notes. It's in my blood. I can't help it. Plus, I have the pictures that show me without flowers before the wedding. AND I have the paperwork I filled out for her with all the instructions written out (that ultimately weren't followed). Yes, I still have the paperwork (see librarian note above). Multiple copies. Because she kept losing them. For real. * Conni NEVER called to finalize anything with me. I had to call her. * She did lose our paperwork. She did tell me her computer crashed. * She did tell us she would be out of town the week before the date. * She did NOT deliver the flowers to where I was getting ready. * The flowers were NOT the colors I specified. * She did not deliver all the boutonnieres. * She did charge us without sending a final invoice (so, like, I could see if she charged us for the missing boutonnieres, maybe?) * And she did reply to my email with "did you send me an email?" I still have the email. Really. Having said all that, the flowers were lovely. Truly. I think Conni's probably an excellent florist. She even uses a picture from my wedding on her website. She should. It's a good picture. But doing "business" with her was stressful. My words of caution go to the bride who is super particular and wants her vendors to follow her instructions to the letter. That was not MY experience with Sunshine Flowers in 2006. As a little side rant ('cause I'm good at that) I have to say, I'm a little pissed she would even try to respond to this review since I'm pretty sure she doesn't even remember who I am. So how would she know if it was inaccurate or not? But, I'd be more than happy to go over it all in detail if Conni wants to discuss it with me personally (since we never did get a chance to do that at the time due to, let's say, technical difficulties). I'm sure she has all my contact information on file, as she remembers so clearly what actually took place. :-)

She did the florals for both days of our wedding, our Sangeet and our ceremony/reception, and she completely understood the different vibes and visions we had for each event. She worked closely with our wedding planner throughout the process and was incredibly attentive to all the details. Even when she couldn't attend our preview day in person, she was kind enough to FaceTime in, take diligent notes, and ask all the right questions to make sure everything was exactly what we envisioned. We were absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out. The florals were beautiful and brought our vision to life so perfectly. Christina also went above and beyond by helping with non-floral décor, including the draping behind our dance floor. She was such a pleasure to work with, and we would highly recommend Christina and La Flora to anyone looking for a florist who is talented, thoughtful, and truly cares about making your wedding vision come to life!

Out of the many florists I found and spoke to, Susan stood out. She was busy working at a wedding the first time I called to inquire and not only did she take my call, she also didn't rush to tell me to give her a call back. Instead, she spoke with me and asked me about my wedding vision with regard to florals. We briefly discussed my ideas, which she intently listened to and from there, we scheduled a day to talk over the phone. During our phone appointment, Susan was very patient and listened to me ramble about my vision and she even offered recommendations. She asked important questions I would not have thought to ask and she was also willing to work within my budget. Shortly after, she emailed me a vision board which showed exactly what I had in mind. I've also met with her to deliver our vases and she was sooooo so nice! Susan isn't only super nice but very talented as well. The flower arrangements, center pieces, and bud vases she put together were all very beautiful. My guests who took the bud vase arrangements home reported that the flowers lasted long. Susan hit all the marks --service, value, and quality of work! She delivered and gave us flower arrangements that were exceptional!

After confirming…read morearrangements and a delivery date for a very VIP event I was notified the day of that the flowers had not been delivered (after the event had already started) frantic I called Valley Flora only to reach voicemail and had to leave a message. I than had no choice but to call another local florist who was able to turn around an order of the same requested arrangements and delivery them within 40 minutes. Within this time Valley Flora returned my phone call and I asked why they weren't delivered. Apparently they had the date down as Sunday. I told them I had to call another florist and I no longer needed their order. So today I am completely taken back as I receive a bill for the arrangements. I call and leave a message. I get a return phone call from Polly who tries to justify the bill because they had delivered the flowers anyway even though I said I no longer needed them. I recap the conversations as to when the delivery was to be made, the email in which I reference the date and reluctantly she tells me she will give a credit but proceeds to tell me if I have a need in the future not to call them in which I said believe me I don't plan too. Completely unprofessional and would never talk to someone like that who is trying to bring me business especially if I was at fault. I should of been more cautious considering the fact that I had to resend emails with pictures of the type of florals requested because they couldn't locate previously sent emails even though they had already responded to me. Hard to even give one star.

I paid Polly $3,000 to do the flowers for my wedding a few weeks ago and overall the flowers were…read morebeautiful but not what I asked. There are some large issues that I wanted to point out. 1. In the two meetings I had with Polly she was very attentive and took lots of notes. I told her I wanted a very soft, french romantic wedding with white, blush and dusty gray/green flowers. I really wanted to make sure I didnt have a *pink* wedding and I mentioned that many times in both of our meetings. The only pink I wanted was blush, almost white pink. I also gave her pictures of flowers and the colors I wanted. I was very disappointed to see not just a lot of pink, but FUCHSIA flowers everywhere. She might have been listening to me but whoever ended up arranging the flowers obviously did what they wanted. I ended up having a girly PINK wedding. ugh. 2. Church flowers: The florist did a "dump and run" - drop everything at the site and leave as fast as they could. The beautiful raw silk wrapped around my and the bridesmaids bouquet stems were soaked from sitting in overly full vases. The small Mary's bouquet was nowhere to be found so we had to use an orange and red bouquet left over from the wedding before us. The two large urns were not in the right place (literally a foot from us next to the altar) so my husband and I had to strain to see the Priest or any readers. 3. Reception flowers: My caterer was apparently left with having to do a lot of the work for the florist. Another "dump and run". More FUCHSIA flowers everywhere. The hair flower I requested turned out to be two long stemmed roses - seriously how am I supposed to put that in my hair? Overall, pretty work but extremely poor service.
