I wanted to love it. The restaurant itself is so well kept and welcoming. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating, and the server that helped us was so sweet and her English was perfect, which was nice since I have a limited German skills. Unfortunately, the food was just not that great. I wasn't expecting authentic Mexican or even Tex-mex food in Germany, so my expectations were reasonable. However the menu was so odd in terms of restaurant theme vs what is offered that I opted for a Mexican Cheeseburger.... ordering a burger at a Mexican restaurant should be a crime against humanity, but I digress. Additionally, the menu photos of a large black and colorful menu or items that you may find online in other reviews are outdated. The majority of those options are not on the menu, or at least not for this location. Anyway, my husband also ordered the same burger without a few of the toppings, and a mini chicken & waffle. The service was a little slow, but it seemed like there was only one server for about 10-15 tables, and maybe 2 people cooking in the back. When we finally got our burgers they were just underwhelming honestly. They looked flavorful, but there was something off putting about the texture of the meat and the bun, but I can't put my finger on it. The fries were decent and the jalapeño poppers that came on the burger were great, but the actual burger was a waste for me. The chicken and waffle was really good, I'll give them that. Unfortunately I'm giving two stars because both my husband and I had pretty seriously upset stomachs the following night/early morning and the only place we ate, and ate the same thing, was here. read more
