When Casey arrived, he said he planned to take both trees completely but at the end of the day, said he couldn't. This left me with a nearly 30 foot tall tree trunk that now has to be removed because it is dead! I don't appreciate that one of the employees used the back yard as his bathroom for taking a dump.

As any homeowner knows, a good contractor or specialist of any sort for home repairs is worth their weight in gold. If I'm being honest, I had to brace myself in writing this review in preparation that if word gets out too fast he might have less availability when we need him! All that said, to get to the important stuff, Efren was responsive, reliable, prompt, reasonable and most importantly did an excellent job. He helped us remove a MASSIVE limb that was broken and dangling on other branches 20 feet in the air, fix up our front yard and remove the assortment of strange plants and reeds without losing any of the ivy we wanted to maintain, and also removal of a couple of stumps and crazy vines and such. Looks like a different space now. Highly recommend.

Selected Blazing Sun because the owner seems to be the most experienced and knowledgeable about aspects of projects compared to other bidders. I was happy with the project quote and the owner's ideas for the projects, but the execution of the contract was disappointing. PROS: Work to install new drainage piped done well. CONS: Replaced retaining wall is crooked. Brought the issue to the attention of the owner and owner claimed that it wasn't, but tried to straighten with minimal results. Owner miscalculated number of blocks required for the wall. Second purchase of blocks was a different color and an obvious mismatch. The owner blamed the store for the difference but instead of taking blocks back laid them anyways. Much of the delivered sod was left in hot weather on a pallet for several days before installation. Sod was obviously dead before being laid. Owner claimed it would rejuvenate or he would replace in a couple of weeks. The owner then blamed the sod company for the poor sod. Dead sod replacement never completed even after multiple promises made to complete work. The overall work progress was very slow. Owner's "help" in many cases could/would not be present, forcing him to do much of the work alone.

After looking for local landscaper, Scott's excellent online reviews had me ready to give him a call. I couldn't be more thankful that I did, and needed to return the favor to anyone else who is using reviews to choose a landscaper in the Louisville area! Scott has now completed several different projects for our family and we will certainly continue to work with him if and when we can! He has created several privacy areas for our yard using various large and small plants (all gorgeous and healthy upon arrival and still months later), tree and other plant removal, lighting installation, amongst other things! Every time he has been here, I have been extremely impressed with his timely communication, transparent, honest, and fair estimates, clean-up and removal of any debris, but most importantly the respect he has shown to us and our neighbors. Of all the crews we have ever used for any project, Scott's crew has been the BEST at keeping things clean, avoiding any damage to anything, timeliness, and of course, leaving our property looking gorgeous afterwards. It is very difficult to find such a respectful, responsive, and reliable crew of people that also produce such incredible results! So thankful to this crew! You will not be disappointed with their work and will likely be leaving another 5-star review as I have just done!
