"Captivate!" is curated by German supermodel Claudia Schiffer who is a native of the North Thine-Westphalia district making the Düsseldorf Kunstpalast a good choice. The exhibit takes us through the golden age of fashion and supermodels. Photographs, more photographs, some memorabilia and lots of captions in both German and English. The staff are friendly, attentive and super informative! Although I've been to Dusseldorf a few times now, this was my first time visiting the museum to see "PS Ich Liebe Dich" And I was wonderfully impressed with how organized and informative the exhibit was! The remarkable geology and mineralogy department - Pre-and Early History - presents others the reconstructed skeleton of approximately 10,000 to 15,000 year old cave bear from the Warsteiner Bilstein caves. Worth seeing are the exhibitions on the peasant living in 18th and 19 Century, the development of iron manufacturing industry in the Warsteiner space and the sculpture collection in the idyllic winter. Charming are the floor-based premises of the former owners Bergenthal with the original living room, Biedermeier room, hallway and Florentinerzimmer. The impressive ballroom gives life and self-understanding upper families in past times.
