This place is pretty expensive and it's really not that great. It's half hostel, so at times it was loud. There was a light directly outside our window that was dripping water directly onto the windowsill, and in order to sleep I needed both earplugs and a light mask. The light was especially an issue because with the daylight in Skye I was very confused about what time at night it was. Saucy Mary's is a hostel and pub suitable for backpacking tourists who are looking for budget accommodation with rooms starting at around £17 per person. There are both dorm and private rooms available. The lively bar/cafe is open every day during the summer and the bar is open every evening. Live music is featured regularly with both local and visiting bands providing anything from Celtic Rock to cover bands. Not particularly suitable for families as the young clientele can be a little boistrous at times - not bad, just noisy young folk having fun! If you are taking a gap year and backpacking round Europe and find yourself on the Isle of Skye, this lively hostel is certainly one to consider. read more
