(They also offer student discounts, so bring your ID if you've got it.) I was able to ask about available spin classes and they cued me into a Friday afternoon class with Vero. I've dropped in on classes around the world, but Vero is now my favorite instructor. She was knowledgeable, motivating, and energetic, and her class design was challenging and stimulating. She mixed in a little bit of fun and choreography to keep you having fun, but in actuality her class was focused on resistance, endurance, and occasional sprints - so you're actually training for athletic gains (which probably translate to a bicycle), and not just burning calories dancing on an indoor bike. The music was great and aligned very well with the recommended efforts! That takes time to plan. The equipment provided was great too. The studio is crafted with a large screen to allow you to assess your wattage and relative effort with real-time feedback in reference to all others in the class, including the instructor. The bikes were quality (with Stages power meters), the spacing was ample (so that you are not on top of your neighbor), and the lighting was good (not so bright as to blind you but not complete darkness). I recommend this gym, this spin studio, and taking Vero's class if you live here or you're visiting and you love indoor cycling.

This location is one of the biggest I've seen. The red room has treads lining two walls and seemingly endless benches. They have an additional weight/equipment room where I saw people doing 1:1 personal training sessions. As an American, I asked that part of the class be translated into English and Ragna, my instructor for the day, flawlessly incorporated English translation with the Norwegian instructions. I was there on abs day and the range of exercises that worked every part of the abs really had me feeling it for two days after. The locker room is fairly big, fair warning, the shower stalls have no doors, so you're pretty exposed, but that also helps ensure no one's hogging the shower.
