Four of us had dinner at Chang Fu last night around 7 PM (a bit early for Spain), so the place…read morewasn't too crowded yet. Between us, we ordered crispy spring rolls, bok choy, chicken with bamboo and mushrooms, sweet-and-sour chicken, chicken with vegetables, and spicy beef.
All the dishes arrived piping hot, and overall, we were impressed with the quality and flavors. The spicy beef was my personal favorite -- tender and flavorful -- though it wasn't particularly spicy. Matt commented that everything was good, and the rest of the group agreed.
A few small things to note:
* The bok choy came in a bowl of broth, which might be traditional, but I would've preferred it served dry on a plate.
* The chicken with vegetables had a noticeable layer of oil on top -- not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of.
* Rice is not included, so you'll need to order it separately (€2 per person).
Service was cordial but a bit inattentive, though not unfriendly. Prices were very reasonable -- the bill for four people, including a few beers, came to €68. We noticed several diners ordering half roasted chickens with sides -- they looked and smelled amazing, so we'll likely try that next time.
All in all, a solid choice for Chinese food in Valencia, and yes, I would absolutely go back.
