TL;DR - Not that great overall Visited Frenazo to get xia long bao with intentions of ordering more dishes after seeing how xia long bao was. Placed two orders of xia long bao, but it took significant time for the order to come out and they only brought one order instead of two when they brought it out. Xia long bao wasn't the best I've had either: skin broke off too easily and soups were already leaked from the dumpling before I had the chance to eat 'em. Needless to say, I didn't order additional food. Bad service and mediocre food.

"Local (Spanish) favorite Chinese restaurant." Yes! It is indeed a favorite Chinese restaurant of local Spanish people here (I judge it from the number of Spanish people versus Chinese and foreigners). This place is a small restaurant and is always packed especially with Spanish people. Their foods taste like homemade. They are simply delicious and cheap. Also this place could be like a fast food restaurant since they serve their dishes really fast, except with better quality. The portion is huge especially noodle dishes. I love their crispy duck with yummy sauce that comes with. Their dumplings are super good. The service is okay. Nothing to complain about! I will definitely eat there again!

I'm from the US and have had my fair share of Chinese-American dishes and was interested in trying Spain's take on Chinese food. This place had great reviews and even better prices so I went during my lunch break (2:30pm). It is located around other Asian restaurants and such so it was hard to keep on target and not try other interesting looking restaurants. The outside of this restaurant isn't very interesting but there's decent seating, not too big though so I wouldn't recommend going during peak hours. The staff was very nice and happy and even offered me a menu in English even though I speak fluent Spanish. They also helped me with the menu without hesitation when I got a little confused. I wanted takeout and it took no more than 5 minutes for my order to be given to me and it was nice and hot. The portion was kind of small considering the orders I've gotten from other asian places but I mean, for 4 euros it was reasonable. It even came in sturdy reusable Tupperware which was nice. The crunch of the vegetables with the soft but sturdy noodles was a really nice combination and it was seasoned to perfection. Not too salty but still lacked a lot of flavor. There was a bit too much oil but nothing crazy, just a preference. Overall the food was very enjoyable and it filled me right up which was surprising because of the size. I would definitely order from there again and completely recommend it!

I was invited by local friends I was visiting in Valéncia to go to dinner at Mey Mey Cantonese…read moreChinese restaurant (which was very near their home). The decor was beautiful with tasteful interior design, but watch-out for the up-and-then-down-and-then-up steps (I had recently dislocated my hip and was super cautious)! The food was the best Cantonese cuisine I've eaten in a very long time! The meal began with a complementary little crunchy egg roll with a delightful dipping sauce! The daily set menu was a variety of options! It was not your "one from column A, one from column B", steam table soggy food! It was filled with dishes that were well prepared and not cooked until ordered. The Apple fritter and ice cream dessert I chose was especially good! All-in-all a delightful dining experience in the middle of Central Valéncia, Spain!

Great Chinese food with a diverse menu; an unexpected find in Valencia…read more I've eaten here three times now over the course of two trips to Valencia. The menu is fairly diverse with foods ranging from the standard dim sum dishes to rice dishes to noodle dishes to various meat dishes. Of the Chinese restaurants I've had in Valencia (limited to maybe four places), this one has the most authentic food. I usually do a blend of one of their pre fixe dim sum menus (three items for about 12 euro) with a rice dish (somewhere between 7 - 12 euro). They also offer two full pre fixe menus, one smaller one around 16 euro and one (which looks much nicer) for 23 euro, but requires two attendees (I'm on business so I haven't had the company to try this out). The venue is nice, there's a great interior with a flowing koi pond. The decorations are pretty nice and definitely better decorated than all the other Chinese venues in the area. Other things to note... so I've been mistaken as a non-customer twice now (they thought I was there looking for a staff member) -- I guess the curse of being Chinese, looking young, and dropping by a Chinese restaurant earlier than most Spaniards eat. On that note... the door may say 8:30, but I've never gotten in that early. Give yourself a 15 minute cushion and go at 8:45... the doors might not be open and you'll find yourself loitering outside like me. Overall, THE place to go for Chinese food in Valencia (and I'll let you know if that changes -- while I'm here).
