Thank you for an amazing job with the backdrops and decor at our events at DoubleTree hotel in OakBrook. Everything looked beautiful! Everyone commented on how amazing the decor looked. The lighting was fantastic as well. Satin Chair will definitely be a company that I recommend to friends who are looking for help with decor in their event. read more

I emailed Satin Chairs for putting a birthday sign up in our yard before 9 AM on my daughter's birthday. I even paid extra to have the sign put up before 9 AM. I sent them the payment and thought that would be it. Her birthday comes around and they show up at 11 AM after she's gone to work. I have emailed them to request a refund back. I've received no phone call and no email response. DO NOT USE THEM!! Laurie read more

Paid to have a "Happy Birthday " sign put in our yard for my daughter's 16th birthday. When she woke up today there was NO sign in our yard! We re-checked the conformation email and saw that it stated the sign will be installed by 9:00AM. 9:00AM passed, still no sign, so we emailed them asking for a full refund. It's now 10:30AM, no sign, no response to our email and a very disappointed family. My recommendation is to stay very far away from this company and take your business somewhere else! read more

Communication in the beginning wasn't bad it was mainly via email. However, my issue is the security deposit. My event was in July of 2022 and here it is the end of March 2023 and still no deposit. Spoke with Taylor today via phone who couldn't give me a solid answer as to why I still have not received my deposit back. This is definitely bad for business and basically stealing. I plan to file a report for this issue if there seems to be no resolution. It seems as though once you return the items rented they no longer care about keeping their end of the deal. If I hadn't returned the equipment or it was damaged I'm sure they would have requested money from me right away so I just want the same respect in return when it comes to sending back my deposit that I am owed. Do Not Recommend! read more

I just called up to the place to get pricing and was greeted by a rude female who seemed rushed to get off the phone. She spoke so fast when answering the phone so I kindly asked her name. She answered quickly, "Alex, is there something I can help you with?" I said "Hello, I am Christine from so and so business how are you doing today?" She then signed said fine and again replied rudely "What can I help you with?" I at that time asked if she was too busy to take the call due to her tone and she hesitated before stumbling over her words. Felt like I had to beg her to take the call and due to that, I will take my business and money elsewhere! If that was my employee they would no longer be working for me. read more

Easy process getting our back drop from Satin Chair. We used it for our ceremony then kept it in the room as a backdrop during the reception for pictures. It was beautiful and perfect! read more

It has been one month and I have still not received my $100 security deposit!! Beware! I returned all my items on 11/14/22, one day after my event. I was told when I returned all the items that I will receive my security deposit via check in the mail within 1 to 2 weeks. After waiting for more than 3 weeks, I called them and spoke to Taylor (12/8/22). I was told that she is not sure why my payment hasn't processed and why I hadn't received the check yet but that someone will call me. Six days later, still no call back from them so I called them again on 12/14/22. This time I spoke to Nathalia. She said that she will look into this and have someone call me. We are now past one month since I've returned all my items! After no calls back, I sent an email (12/15/22) in the morning trying to get some answers. STILL NO RESPONSE! BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS! THEY HAVE TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION AND STEAL YOUR MONEY! read more

We used Satin Chair for our Sangeet, Wedding, and Reception. We had a great experience working with Natalia. Our decorations for all three events were excellent and we got many compliments. Natalia was easy to work with, was prompt, and delivered what was promised. Would highly recommend them to anyone! read more

I previously worked with Satin Chairs for my wedding so when the opportunity arose for us to utilize them at my workplace I jumped at the chance. They are easy to work with and reasonably priced for the services they provide. We received amazing reviews on their décor set up for our events celebrating our Founders Day. They did an amazing job. I look forward to working with them in the future personally and professionally! read more

Only use this company if you are okay with not receiving your deposit back. I rented farm tables and chairs from this company and was required to pay a deposit that according to contract would be returned within 14days. We are almost 30 days out and I have yet to receive my deposit. I have sent various emails and made numerous phone calls that have gone unanswered. Basically, each time they tell you the owner is unavailable and needs to cut the check. Absolutely ridiculous! A reputable company would not need you to hound them to return a deposit. Not worth the hassle, do yourself a favor and rent elsewhere! read more

I stopped in today as I was attempting to get pricing information for an event I will be hosting in July. To be fair it seems that there was an consultation in progress so I didn't want to interrupt, thinking maybe there was someone else there that could assist me. No one ever came out and the employee that was present never acknowledged my presence to say hello or to tell me I need to have an appointment or anything. I looked around for about 10 minutes. The place isn't that large so it wasn't like the employee didn't see me. I wished I had read the reviews before I went in. I will happily take my business to someone else. read more

They did a fantastic job with the arch and the chair covers. I also rented the pillars and uplighting for the aisle. They were wonderful! The staff gave me options, went through everything with me. They were pleasant and easy to work with. The room looked fantastic! read more

We used them as our drapers, lighting, table, and chair covering vendors. A friend from the hotel business recommended them, and they did a great job decorating (and covering) up the ugly decor we had our reception at. They had great ideas, sophisticated style, and affordable prices. My only hiccup was a miscommunication about the pricing for our tablecloths but it was resolved quickly and professionally. I didn't have to worry about anything on the day of. I had so many compliments from my friends afterwards. read more

They made my wedding look gorgeous! If you are considering hiring anyone to decorate for your wedding, choose them. The venue probably rents upgrades, but look here first - they are almost certainly going to be cheaper, and they will probably have a better selection. And they don't just do chair covers! Look to them for everything you need to decorate your ceremony and reception that isn't flowers. I ordered chair covers, uplighting, some accent tablecloths, table runners, sashes for the head table, and a backdrop for behind the head table. Everything looked perfect! They also match David's Bridal colors. read more

They did a wonderful job on my ceremony and reception decorations! They were very reasonable. Communication was not always the best... Overall they really made everything gorgeous on my special day! read more

Best company to get decorations! They have many options that comes with an affordable and reasonable price. The service is great and working with them is so convenient. I visited their office in Naperville and they have some tables and centerpieces set up as examples and it was kinda nice to see them in person before signing the contract. If your venue offers table cloths / table runners with your preferred color motif, check with satin chair cover to see (most likely theirs is cheaper than the ones from your venue**that was the case with mine). Their chiavari chairs are also offered at a nice price compared to others. Since their office was far from our house, we communicated through e-mail or calls and they responded so quickly and got back to me right away when I had a question. They have delivery and pick-up service which is awesome coz we did not have to worry about a thing the night of our wedding. Everything was pleasant, their centerpieces are all in great quality and unique. Working with Natalia was great. She's friendly, organized and was very helpful. Ivone took care of us mostly and she is the BEST! I was undecided at some point with what I wanted to do with our decors and Ivone has the best taste, she was so patient with working with us, she treated us like her friends by giving us the best options and was just fun to work with. I am so happy with how everything turned out and all our friends and family has nothing to say but good things about our decors and how beautiful our wedding was thanks to Satin Chairs & Covers you guys definitely helped us to have a beautiful wedding! read more

We rented a backdrop and swing for our sangeet and loved everyone we worked with at Satin Chair! They were so communicative, patient, and affordable that I wished we used them for all our other events too. They showed up to set things up and dismantle on time, they guided us in our design and they weren't pushy at any point in the process. Would definitely work with and recommend them. read more

Terrible company. Do not use. Natalia is extremely rude and gave me problems the entire time I was dealing with her regarding the planning of my wedding. She even was going back and forth with me because I wanted to pay up front instead of closer to the wedding. Are you serious?? The final straw is while at my wedding they threatened to take the back drop down before I got back to the ceremony room to take pictures! How dare you do that on my wedding day! Go somewhere else for your wedding decor needs. You will have problems here. They deserve zero stars. UPDATE: a few hours after making the initial review, I got a text because I left a negative review! It's funny that when I was reaching out during my wedding planning, I could barely get a call back and would constantly have to call them. Everyone can not tell me he same lie...several of their reviews state that their customer service and communication is poor and that the staff is rude. I just don't want someone to go through a stressful experience while planning an event. Unfortunately I did not check their reviews before using them. I also told them when they texted me that I was going to update my review. read more

We used Satin Chair at the absolute last minute for our reception and they did such an amazing job. Natalia made my vision come true and was so patient. I loved all of the items that I got from Satin Chair, they were all beautiful, but they were quite stressful to work with. Their communication internally and externally needs a lot of work - impossible to get a hold of them, added a lot of stress week of wedding. Beautiful stuff, but give yourself plenty of time to plan with them. read more

I want to write both the good and the bad here: GOOD - their back drop was absolutely stunning and really transformed the ceremony. - communication was only better after multiple attempts BAD & UGLY - horrible communication skills - tac on "refundable deposit" for after wedding that they don't tell you about - ask the same questions over and over. Honestly, it was beautiful but I would keep on them like a hawk. read more

We did most of our centerpieces DIY, but wanted a little extra to complete the look with a backdrop and uplighting. The drapery and accent flowers at bother the ceremony and reception turned out lovely! read more

Terrible experience ! Unfriendly and unhelpful on the phone. Called to ask a few questions and was treated like they were doing me a favor. Where has good customer service gone? I mistakenly decided to rent linens which came stained. You have to sign your life away to rent 6 tablecloths... sign a contract ... pay $100 deposit AND prepay for their over priced linen. The linen was not the requested length, about 2 inches too short. I even measured. The worst part was they shorted me a linen and I mistakenly did not realize until the problem until the next morning (the morning of the event). So I had a table to run to the store to find a similar table cloth since they are closed Sunday's. I realize it was my mistake for trusting the girl and not counting myself but no accountability was taken by the store. I spoke to the manager who told me he would call back and did not. He also said mistakes on their end was not possible...I did not press the matter because the two receptionists were so rude and hostile it made me feel uncomfortable. The one woman told me I was lying and was far more upset than I was... I was the calm and understanding one and I'm the customer!! Ultimately spent $200 to rent 5 stained linen for 1 day. I now use Marquee linen which is less expensive and wonderful service! read more

Awful customer service. My rental was $120, and they required a $100 security deposit. 2 months later and I still have not received my security deposit. I have not received a response to my emails either. I would NOT recommend this company. read more

We got married in October and used Satin Chair Covers for our background behind the head table. We had wanted to use them for draping around the door entrance, but due to some restrictions at the venue we had to change that plan. Our backdrop was a beautiful gold with sequins and really made everything pop! We did change our mind a few times and Diane was great to work with. My only concern was that at one point I was confused about what we owed and the person who responded to my email had quite a bit of attitude, which was not cool. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this service! They have a lot to choose from and were familiar with our venue which was really nice. read more

Everything was gorgeous and loved what they did to the room. Communication was not always the best but they got the job done.

I got married in the beginning of February and Satin Chair was amazing. The whole staff was awesome and very easy to work with.. especially when I would change my mind a thousand times! We rented chiavari chairs, table linens, chargers, and napkins. When I walked into my reception, I was blown away. It all looks so great! I will definitely recommend Satin Chair to anyone for any kind of event! read more

My husband and I considered using Satin Chair Covers for our wedding and we were impressed with their product but had already met with another company that was MUCH cheaper. We still met with this company because our venue recommended them. Well after our experience I hope our venue reconsiders. The people who run this company and work for them are rude and extremely unprofessional. After calling them back several times with no response I received a phone call asking if I had made a decision because their offer wasn't going to be available after that day. When I called back and explained I had left several voicemails, Natalia flat out told me I should learn to use different modes of communication and that there were other ways to get in touch with people other than calling. Just AWFUL customer service. These people do not deserve your service they are arrogant people. read more

I could write a bullet point list of everything this company did wrong in terms of professionalism and customer service, with subsequent examples. However, I will only say that with so many companies in Chicago that perform the exact same service, there is zero need to tolerate Satin Chair's abysmal business practices. read more

This place is ridiculous! Stay away! They called me on the DAY of my wedding to work out details. Very unorganized! As I was getting my hair and makeup done I got a call to work out details that should have been taken care of months before! Furthermore, the bows on the chairs were falling. They did a very bad job! Not worth going to them! read more

Satin Chair is the company that worked with our event hall. Aside from the chair covers, which were part of our package, we also selected to use them for a sequin backdrop to the head table and additional sequin tablecloths on the cake table, place card table, and guest book table. The pieces were beautiful and really had that "wow" factor. We got so many compliments on how the room looked, they did a great job! Two things to make sure of before using them, 1. Be sure to pay your final balance well before they contact you. If not, you will be charged a credit card fee to do it less than 2 weeks out. Even being extremely organized, I let this one slip past me. 2. If you put a deposit down for something (we did for our runner), be sure to make a note to yourself to get it back. I had to follow up with them 3-4 times to get them to send it back. Other than that, it was a great experience! read more

We were referred to Satin Chair Covers by our wedding coordinator. We scheduled an appointment to meet with them to get pricing and get our options.
