What happened to this place? It used to be up there with the other respected, medical-focused shops who care about medical patients. I'm a caregiver and I called to find out more info about a product for my medical patient--there was an obvious typo on Leafly so I needed to clarify the strength. The woman who answered the phone brazenly identified herself as the manager (!) and proceeded to be completely condescending, rude and unprofessional. As a former manager of a medical-focused dispensary, I'm blown away by this experience. No one should have to be treated that way, especially when you're buying cannabis medicine. Never had a problem with this store until they started selling over-filled cartridges from Mule. Had to exchange cartridges 3 times and tried to just get my money back because I'm tired of the junk cartridges, and now they refuse to exchange it for me again and won't refund me. I purchased 2 clones at Satchel 2 weeks ago. I should have looked in the bag before I brought them home. They were completely yellow and the soil was dry. The plants were completely rootbound. The plants appeared old and not cared for. I was told that I should plant them right away. I did and have kept them at the proper temperature, PH level and moisture levels. They're now starting to grow and are producing leaves with only 3 fingers - a sign of a distressed plant. If these are indicative of what Satchel sells they should be ashamed. I am more than a little disappointed and mad. I work hard for my money and deserve better for my purchase. Given all cannabis transactions are cash I have no remedy to get my money back as I would have with a credit card. read more

Worst customer service ever...boyfriend called ahead to order 4 grams of dabs I go to pick it up and pay and the girl hands me 4 grams of flower. I tell her this isn't what we ordered and that we ordered dabs. She states thats what he ordered and they don't have those strains in dabs which was fine she could have given me something else yet she was completely rude and acted like it was my issue. I told her to just give me my money back and then she proceeded to tell me my boyfriend didn't know what he was ordering.....ummm we have smoked longer than this employee has been alive. This is the third time we have ordered and they have messed up. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any dispensary. The customer service was very subpar and prices left much to be desired. I purchased two clones from here and both were very sick. I was assured by the salesperson helping me that all was well and right with the world, and that there was nothing to worry about. Bought a 1g Green Dragon cartridge here. It was broken and when I tried to remove it from my battery it broke further. Attempted a return/exchange and was rebuked with no receipt. Manager told me if I had a receipt they could help further. Found my receipt and tried again and was stonewalled again. At this point I have been lied to and refuse to give them business again. I have never visited Satchel, but this review is entirely based on your sign spinner posted on the SE corner of N Lombard and N Interstate. While I hate commercializing our city streets, this guy is a joy to see. Every single time I pass him by, he's happily wiggling his sign, dancing, smiling, rocking out and bopping about, and generally improving the aesthetic and mood of this otherwise dreary intersection. I've even seen him help old ladies cross the street! Satchel sign spinner guy makes my day, and if it's a reflection of the positive attitude and good vibes of your business, then I'd be stoked to visit if this was my cup of tea.
