A great experience at a small town grill. Food was fresh and very well prepared. Staff was friendly and attentive.

So I definitely dig Squidy's. I've been a few times when Don was bartending and had a good time…read more Nice crowd and good service. Based on those experiences I'd give it 5 stars. I went again tonight though, arriving at 7:30pm after hiking 15 miles on the Ice Age Trail, plus an extra one to get to the bar. It was empty with a female bartender. I made a joke as I sat down which she didn't even attempt to laugh at. This was a sign. After one drink she told me that she needs to close. She did allow me to chug a second drink while shutting off the lights. I understand they weren't busy but your listed hours are open til 10 and it's not even 8:00. Plus I just told you I walked all the way here. Definitely can understand why this place is empty on Mondays. I'll call ahead to make sure Don is working next time

The portions were generous for $10 and I really enjoyed my meal, along with a Spotted Cow and a sour brandy old fashioned. My son ordered appetizer chicken strips and fries. He said they were both delicious. The 4 others in our group ordered burgers and an assortment of apps. The burgers were said to be ok and the fried apps were all good, especially their beer battered onion rings. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The space in the dining room is basic as many bars of this kind are. The bar area was really cool and they have some arcade games for the kids by the bar. Worth a stop in for a drink, lunch, and friendly service!

First visit. 6pm on a Sunday. Was hoping for better…read more Food was meh. Mozzarella sticks were ok. Ordered two entrees - salmon dinner was fine, but burger tasted off. Service was pleasant enough but s-l-o-w. Restaurant was not busy but there was one large party of about a dozen which seemed to overwhelm the two servers. For the entire time we were there we didn't see any front of house staff (manager, host, bussers) other than two servers. Cleanliness was poor. We were there for over an hour and tables near us were not cleared or cleaned at all. Dirty dishes with leftover food sitting on them for the duration of our meal. Food all over the floor. Not an appetizing atmosphere. All-in-all poor value for the money.

That is one of my favorite dishes at most Italian restaurants. This looked like boiled chicken breasts, no color at all. The "lemon" sauce was like water and did not taste like lemon at all. More like vinegar. The "grilled"asparagus was sitting in the water and tasted boiled, not grilled. Mashed potatoes were decent, but sitting in a bowl of watery sauce did not help. Do not order this if you are expecting traditional Piccata. The angel hair pasta with "marinara" sauce my husband ordered was very bland, it was more like canned regular tomato sauce stirred into pasta...no joke. We wonder if there is a different owner, and cook. The nice young man who was our server was very good. We will not be back, and that is sad aswe liked it before.
