I can't say enough good things about Sascha! Not only did he take beautiful photos but I was very nervous right before the ceremony and he calmed me down. He was a pro at handling family members who were overstepping with opinions about pictures and made sure my partner and I had our wishes and choices respected. Sascha is also just a fun and funny guy and we enjoyed speaking with him in between shots. We got our photos back in just under 3 weeks and he delivered more pictures than were included in our package. The whole process was simple and Sascha gave us a questionnaire to learn about our preferences and must have shot list which he followed well. Would recommend Sascha!! read more

Fantastic! We were in NYC for a family vacation and contacted Sascha for a photo session. We met in Gantry Park. We are a queer family and felt very comfortable and safe. The session was painless as Sascha was great with our kids. We love the final result and the pictures made for adorable Christmas cards. read more

When picking a photographer, it's a good idea to check out past work on their website so you can get a feel for the types of pictures you can expect. ...for whatever the occasion may be: -Wedding pics -Newborn photos -Business headshot -Annual family portraits taken so that grandma will get off your back already because she finally has something to share with her book club, which really isn't a book club but just a sham so that grandmas alike can get together once a month and boast about their grandkids, and talk about which one really should be in show business because they have a beautiful smile inherited from THEIR side of the family ... but as usual, I'm digressing here. The point I'm trying to make is, after you read my review, check out the SRP website to see Sascha's work. I think his stellar pictures will demonstrate the classic, timeless, & gorgeous photos that he will deliver. And now here's what his website won't tell you and the real reason why I'm yelping about SRP. Sascha is accommodating, patient, and totally makes you feel at ease even when you're fretting about your two toddlers running around like mini tornadoes. He doesn't force pictures to "be", he seems to just wait for it to happen. ...And it does happen, for him. When I got our family portraits back from Sascha, I wondered: How did he get my typically frenzied toddlers to look like mild mannered little cherubs? How did he make me appear to be a normal human being instead of the sweatpants wearing, non-hair brushing mom that I feel like I am on a day-to-day basis? Lastly, Sascha was able to offer me the option of getting all our edited pictures on digital format. That means, I scored all our pics on CD so I can email them around to parts of the family that we never see in all over of the world. He also offers wall art. Our home is in mid construction/redecorating right now but once we're settled, I think I'm going back for the wall art to make our home nice & pretty! Thank you SRP :) read more

If you're looking for the kind of wedding photos that look truly *alive*, it doesn't get better than Sascha Reinking. He has an incredible feel for the city, and knows how to capture the actual *connection* you have to each other, and to the seething, swirling world around you. He led us through Grand Central Station on a wet, blowy weekend in New York and captured the kind of images I've always dreamed of having of the two of us on our wedding day. He's an unflappable professional with a big heart, calm demeanor, and impeccable eye. Whether you're a lifelong New Yorker or you're just eloping in the city, Sascha will give you the experience (and the photo album) you've got in your head. (Not to mention the fact that he can hook you up with all of the other vendors you need to execute the rest of your vision -- he connected us with our florist and stylist, and we couldn't have been in better hands all the way around.) read more

Sascha is an amazing photographer. He made the entire process of our elopement photo shoot extremely personal and fun. He gave great feedback during the photos, that helped make the pictures perfect, without feeling controlling or demanding. He clearly knows NYC very well. This allowed us to use the time together efficiently and maximize different locations with our 2 hours before the ceremony. Sascha helped make our wedding day superb! Thank you! read more

Spectacular experience with Sascha. We got married the day after a major snowstorm, and that did not deter Sascha from showing up, being creative, and using the weather's aftermath to help create some fantastic shots. We were married in the Museum of Natural History, and the photos look as if we were the only people there. Honestly, if you are considering hiring this man, just do it. DO IT. read more

Sascha photographed our NYC elopement and did an unbelievable job. We traveled to NYC (from Orange County, California) to elope at City Hall. Being December we were gambling on the weather-I was a little upset that it was drizzling/misting during the morning and on the drive to City Hall. I am still in awe with what Sascha did with rain backdrop. He created such a perfect pictorial concept of our special day that I could not have even dreamed up. They are truly AMAZING photos- I know everyone says that about their wedding photos-but I have been asked several times if we were photo shopped into the setting. Sascha had such an amazing eye to capture our excitement and the city behind us. On top of his talent- he was very professional, timely, relaxed and overall just a genuinely good guy you'd want to hang out with. I would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone. It was such a great experience. read more

Sascha was an absolute pleasure to work with! We engaged him to shoot our City Hall marriage ceremony We've researched and interviewed multiple photographers, and ultimately chose Sascha because (1) we loved his work; (2) he was incredibly professional and responsive; and (3) his passion for his work shone through. Thankfully, our initial impressions proved accurate on our wedding day! Sascha had such a great attitude, which made the photography process painless for my husband who hates taking photos. He also had a great turnaround time, delivering our photos in less time than he said it would take. Overall, Sascha was lovely and we would recommend him to our friends. read more

We engaged Sascha to photograph out elopement at the courthouse and I could not have asked for a better photo experience. Prior to the big day Sascha was responsive to all my many questions. He recommended florists and hair stylists. We booked Sascha for 4 hours of photography expecting 2 hours at the courthouse and 2 hours around the city. I was worried because the courthouse portion of the event took longer then expected but Sascha stayed with us longer without request from us. Sascha provided 3 pictures within 15 days of the wedding for a after the fact bridal shower at no extra cost. We received all of our pictures within the contracted 30 days. The pictures were amazing and he got such a good variety. Very few pictures were staged. I only wish he would have gotten more family photos but that is my fault as I did not request these. I do reccomend looking at his website of getting married in Manhattan as it is obvious he uses the same locations for many of his bookings. Many people I showed the pictures to claimed they were the best wedding photos they have ever seen. I can't wait to look back on the pictures and the happiness he captured. read more

Sascha made a perfect plan becoming a perfect day. When I came up with the idea to propose to my girlfriend in NY, I was just randomly screening the net for inspirations, when I stumpled upon Sascha's webpage and recognized, that he exactly offered what I was looking for. From then on, Sascha went with me the whole way from planning to realization and helped with good ideas, insider knowledge, and a lot of patience. At the ende, everything went perfect and the pictures are wonderful. If you're looking for support and not simply any photographer for your special occasion, feel assured, you found the right guy. read more

We want to thank Sascha for all of his help and for making our wedding day so perfect. We had a small elopement in Central Park and the pictures he took are so amazing, the session was great fun and entertaining. He is such a likeable person, you aren't just his client for a few hours, you feel like you have known him a long time and you feel his passion for photography in every single moment. We have contacted him per email a few months before, we haven't even looked for another photographer because we loved his work we saw on his website = http://www.saschareinking.com and on facebook = https://www.facebook.com/SaschaReinkingPhotography. For his german speaking clients he also provides his photographs at a NYC-board = http://www.nyc-guide.de/forum/viewforum.php?f=6 There's no one we could recommend you more for being your photographer than Sascha. So don't hesitate to give him a call or write him an email, you won't be disappointed! read more

Memories of our baby's first days! Thanks to Sascha, we have a set of precious pictures of our son from his first few days home. Sascha's pictures captured everything we remember about him as newborn. They are now our "definitive" memories of those first few days after he came home, which were such an emotional and life-changing time for us, as this was our first. I don't think we even realized just how important it was to have these beautiful pictures until we looked back and noticed how much our son has changed, and he's now only a few months old! We are truly grateful to Sascha for sharing his talent with us. He was great to work with (I think he was one of the first people outside the family we let handle the baby, which we didn't even realize until after the fact). His professionalism and genuine tenderness towards the shoot and the baby were great (baby even had a little "accident" during the shoot, which mortified me, but didn't phase Sascha one bit). He's a great find for new parents in New York! read more

Honestly, just book Sascha right now and don't think twice about it--he is the best! Working with Sascha was an absolute joy. I fell in love with his photojournalistic style as soon as I saw his photos online, but still the photos he captured of our elopement in New York City were more beautiful than I could have imagined. Sascha uses his knowledge of architecture to take his photography to the next level and give you not only stunning photos, but gorgeous keepsakes of the city. I received so many compliments on our photos and everyone adored his unique style. Working with Sascha was the smartest decision we made while planning our intimate wedding. Our tour around New York City with Sascha was one of the most fun parts of our day. He knows the city extremely well, is hilarious to talk to, and is willing to do anything (even step into traffic and run through a marathon) to get a great shot. Since we were planning our elopement from out of state, he was extremely helpful in referring us to hair and makeup stylists, floral recommendations, etc. He is so fun and joyful to be around on your special day, no matter the event. So just say yes! read more

We have worked with Sascha twice now - and each time he has created something special for our family. When we reviewed Sascha's lifestyle images from our maternity and newborn sessions, we were completely thrilled and happy! Sascha is talented and of course professional, but he is also great with kids (our firstborn kept photobombing his sibling's photos haha) and made everyone feel at ease. It was a pleasure working with him and if you like this style of photography, I would definitely recommend him to others. We ordered both prints and digital CD, both of high quality and exceeded our expectations. read more

We got married at City Hall in NYC last December and were so incredibly lucky that our friends introduced us to Sascha. Everything was just PERFECT, and we could not have asked for more! Sascha took the time to meet with us (on very short notice by the way, as we organized the whole thing in less than 2 months!), understand our preferences and needs and was always helpful and responsive. Our pictures are amazing, he made me feel (and look!) like a movie star. He also provided us with super helpful tips on locations, hair and makeup! It doesn't hurt that he has a tendency to get photobombed by super-mega Hollywood stars (Hello, Zach Braff!)! :) He is patient, makes you feel comfortable and his first and only priority was to make us happy. Needless to say, we can't wait for the next occasion to work with Sascha again! read more
