HIGHLY recommend this acupuncture clinic! I'm alot better and feel healthier now. Before going to this acupuncture clinic, I had quite a few ailments from congestive heart issues, back pains, ankle sprain, hypertension to a diagnosis of an ovarian pre-cancerous state. The type of treatment at this clinic does really work!
In regards to the reviewer who did not know about Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), our body is a circulatory system which means the blood is constantly circulating throughout our body. If the blood stagnates, that is it starts to pool in an area, we get pains in that area, start to get sick and if not treated becomes a disease. I think if you were previously exposed to TCM, like the cupping that is now prevalent at spas, you would not be as shocked as you were in the comment.
The result of tapping is similar to that of cupping which leaves red bruising marks. However, tapping directs deeper into the body to lift and rid of blood stagnation. Cupping is not a long term treatment and is temporary because it affects only on the surface area of the body. An analogy to this is cupping treats the tip of the iceberg and tapping treats the iceberg itself. Thus, TCM typically treats the root cause not the symptoms of illnesses.
Also tapping with a light 1"x2" wooden stick is not a sledge hammer. The little stick probably weights no more than 2oz. Again, tapping clears up the blood stagnation and thus the illness that ails us. We will feel better despite the red marks, which just look like a large area of hickies. So nothing to worry about. This doctor is legit and she is curing illnesses and diseases.
